Hi all,
In our design we have to connect the PowerPSoC (CY8CLED04D01) to PC for transferring some data. so we have to connect the UART outputs from the PSoC to an TTL5V to USB converter . We have choosen this TTL-232RG-VSW5V-WE in the link http://www.ftdichip.com/Products/Cables/USBTTLSerial.htm
we think the above mentioned part will do good. Or is there any other better suggestions??...
Thanks,
Kallis

These modules also quite usable, and use standard cable such that
if cable goes bad simply get another off the shelf USB cable. Unlike
if cable wears out you have FTDI chip embedded in your other approach,
so "special" cable has to be replaced, and its not readily available to consumer.

If you are looking for USB to UART controller, consider PSOC 3/5.
If you want to stay with PSOC 1 this might help - http://www.cypress.com/?rID=34582
