Several people have reported (for example, here: http://www.cypress.com/?app=forum&rID=79894), and I have tested it today and confirmed that CY3270 FirstTouch Kit USB stick does not function properly as a I2C mater when tested with Bridge Control Panel.  Dispite following the recommendations of Avri, no meaningful data exchange can be established.

After establishing connection with FirstTouch, the data output reads:

Opening Port

Successfully Connected to FirstTouch/632611002D46

FirstTouch Programmer Version 1.80

And if data is sent, ANY data to ANY address gets acknowledged reply:

Please provide a firmware update to fix this.

        Hi beaten_together,
I didn't success communicate with Expand card via I2C and Bridge Control Panel,
So far, by using any I2C module type.

I want to modify the firmware of FTK3720 but original hex file doesn't disclose ever.
Nonetheless, ARVI-san promise me share it in this article.
He said "PSoC73, please share your mail id, for me to share the file you requested"
Is he forgot it? Wasting Time! I never forget it.
Around FTK3270, Everythings odd now.
In this notification, 3720 was already obsoleted.
But this, Still available and in stock.
Bridge Control Panel was no where.

Yes, I'm using FTK3721, but something deferent with 3270-Expand-card.
Firmware hex files Mismatch with actual board.
Everythings, unstable, unreliable.
Is this a toy? If it's a toy child will disgusted.

Anyway, You can get similar code.
This is a USB-I2C bridge.
You can see source code of the bridge.
However this had programming by direct code, doesn't use user module.
and some ports different with 3720.

Hi PSoC73, did you ever get the cy3270 to work? Or did you use a Cy3271 instead? Also, does anyone know if the MiniProg3 revB (ver 7) units have functional ISSP/I2C (aka 5-pin) ability? There is a KB note that says that revB MiniProg3 have disabled 5-pin connectors. (http://www.cypress.com/?id=4&rID=45570)
