Hi,

After upgrading PSoC Creator to version 3.3 it slowed down significantly. After any edit like adding an existing item, scrolling through a schematic file or source files or even writing a single line of code causes program to hang for about 2-3 seconds. I use Win7 64-bit. I also tried it with Win10, still the same problems.

Check for non-ascii characters in path or username, avoid files on network. Seems as if re-installation does not work?

Hi, I'm facing the same problem.

the early access Creator 3.3 SP1 is better. But still the system is not responding smoothly.

I uninstalled all PSOC SW and reinstalled, nothing changed.

Unfortunately reinstallation doesn't work. No files on the network. I will check the path and username but there was no problem in v3.2.

For those having performance issues, did you install from CD or directly download from the web?

Necdet and Metin,

So during the Creator install, the .Net Optimization Service (NGen) is supposed to run on all of the .Net assembles for Creator.  There is a possibility that it did not run in your cases.  If so, I can help you run the optimization tool by hand to see if that helps.

It turns out it is fairly easy to check for the Ngen assemblies.  Open a console Window.  (Hit the Start key and type cmd<enter> or hold shift, right click on a folder and select "Open command window here".)  Enter the following:

%windir%\Microsoft.Net\Framework\v4.0.30319\ngen.exe display psoc_creator

You should see something like this:

If you don't see your 3.3 install listed, then please let me know.  The .Net folder may be named differently, so the command may be different.

I am getting the error as

Error: The specified assembly is not installed

Please find the attachment.

I order to achieve the speed in PSoC Creator 3.3 I have reduced the animation of my PC.

I have windows configuration of
4GB RAM,
2.9GHz Intel Pentium (R) Processor
32-bit OS Win7
500GB Hard-drive where C-drive has 70GB free memory.

I'm living same problems. Computer is halting for a while on every modification or action.

I'm getting "Error: The specified assembly is not installed" message, when I try the "ngen" command.

Especially about Turkish characters.
