Hi
We need enable the wifi monitor mode on USI/WM-BAC-BM-25(Chpset is CYW43455). The FAE of USI said it must use special FW, and Cypress didn’t released the FW by now. So can you help to check where we can get the FW which can support monitor mode?
Show LessI send a few different types of requests using the http_client (connect -> send requests while connected). I observe that sometimes the socket disconnect callback does not get triggered when internet connection is lost. Instead the requests are flushed successfully, but there is no response. The socket state shows WICED_SOCKET_CONNECTED. After a certain time interval, the requests start timing out. Can you help to figure out how to debug this? I am interested in finding out why the callback is not generated and what can be done to fix it.

PSoC6 WiFi-BT Pioneer Kit Rev C (Rev 11 stated on the kit)
Hi there,
Just installed the WICED 6.4 on my Mac successfully. I downloaded the demo app CE222494 and added the its content to
- WICED-Studio-6.1\43xxx_Wi-Fi\apps\demo
- WICED-Studio-6.1\43xxx_Wi-Fi\resources\apps
In "Make Target" I opened a new one named it
- demo.CE222494_PSoC6_WICED_WiFi-CY8CKIT_062 download_apps download run
But, when double clicking on it (having the device connected), it says build finished after 73 ms and then it does nothing more. ?!
Well my experience says that this is way too fast. So tried to clean it,... nothing more happens.
I get the feeling that nothing happens!? Is there something missing (any compiler settings I have to go thorugh)?
Here is a screenshot of my WICED:
Thanks for any help.
Best regards
Nik
Support People:
I need some help with this one please:
I have a Visual Studio 2017 project that starts with a "head" CMakeLists.txt file (see attachment) to build the project, then descends into many sub-folders and files, each with their own CMakeLists.txt files for building the lower-level support code.
I have tried to create an "MK" file to use with the Wiced-Eclipse project builder, but that has too many possibilities for human error during creation.
The CMakeLists.txt build system works correctly in the Visual Studio environment, so it would be nice if that system could be used by Wiced-Eclipse.
QUESTION: Is there a good way that I can launch the CMakeLists.txt compile-chain from within Wiced-Eclipse, and if so, where may I find the steps to follow for its implementation?
I am thinking that this must be documented somewhere, because I am not the first one to consider this build option.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Garry Anderson.

Show LessI'm trying to use the Client Control app with the 20706WCDEVAL board running the Headset app in Modus 2.0. I'm able to connect to the device over USB and then scan for bluetooth classic devices but "Unbound" is always grayed out. I can see the device but I can't connect to it over bluetooth classic. Am I missing something? I did see it work once but I don't know what I did to make it work, or break it.
Show LessSo I know the ble_proximity_reporter project included in WICED Studio 6.4 isn't meant for the CY8CKIT-062. I am currently going through the code trying to figure out a way to get this project to work on this board. I was wondering if there is any hardware issue that would prevent this project from working on the CY8CKIT-062? For my project, I need BLE, Wi-Fi and proximity detection.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
EDIT: Upon digging into the code I found this function:
Can anyone tell me when this function might become available? This function is critical to my project.
Show LessHello Cypress IoT team,
[Background]
This thread is related to "https://community.cypress.com/message/223831#223831"
With the current WiCED6.2.1 code, string comparison is performed not only in the HTTP header but also in the body.
So WiCED client cannot receive contents if the contents have string "Transfer-Encodeing : chunked".
Since the WiCED specification does not support "transfer encoding",
we deleted the "if statement" which to confirm the existence of "HTTP_HEADER_CHUNKED" .
We modified WiCED source code "WICED-Studio-6.2\43xxx_Wi-Fi\libraries\protocols\HTTP_client\http_client.c".
The patch is attached.
Then, it seems that the expected behavior is confirmed at our site.
[Need Help]
Please review the attached patch. Do you have any concerns ?

Show LessI need to use websocket client to connect wss://host:port/path server on Wiced 6.4

Does Wiced not support it or I miss some setting in code?
Show LessHello,
I have an SPI communication between my 1LD Wifi/BT module and another MCU.
This SPI use SPI5 hardware and works with DMA for Tx and Rx.
I want to use the chip select (pin 57, PB1, with external PullUp) configured as input pin with external interrupt.
I tried the follow configuration, but it never enter in the interrupt handler
Is the right use for configuration of external interrupt ?
Option 1 |
---|
void init_NssPin (void) { NssGpio.pin_number = 1; NssGpio.port = GPIOB; platform_gpio_init( &NssGpio, INPUT_HIGH_IMPEDANCE ); platform_result_t res; res = platform_gpio_irq_enable (&NssGpio, IRQ_TRIGGER_RISING_EDGE, ISR_SpiNss_handler, 0 ); WPRINT_APP_INFO( ( "result of NSS IRQ init = %d\n",res ) ); // note: result code give me 6010 which mean NO_EFFECT ... } void ISR_SpiNss_handler( void* arg ) { v_SetLedState(0,1); // debug: LED_INDEX_1 set to high } |
I aslo tried a second option with ExtInt functions and force the mapping of ISR function:
Option 2 |
---|
SYSCFG_EXTILineConfig(EXTI_PortSourceGPIOB, EXTI_PinSource1); ExtIntSpiNss.EXTI_Line = EXTI_Line1; ExtIntSpiNss.EXTI_LineCmd = ENABLE; ExtIntSpiNss.EXTI_Mode = EXTI_Mode_Interrupt; ExtIntSpiNss.EXTI_Trigger = EXTI_Trigger_Rising; EXTI_Init(&ExtIntSpiNss); /* Add IRQ vector to NVIC */ NVIC_InitTypeDef NVIC_InitStruct; NVIC_InitStruct.NVIC_IRQChannel = EXTI1_IRQn; NVIC_InitStruct.NVIC_IRQChannelPreemptionPriority = 0x01; NVIC_InitStruct.NVIC_IRQChannelSubPriority = 0x00; NVIC_InitStruct.NVIC_IRQChannelCmd = ENABLE; NVIC_Init(&NVIC_InitStruct); WWD_RTOS_DEFINE_ISR ( ISR_SpiNss_handler ) { v_SetLedState(0,1); // debug: LED_INDEX_1 set to high } WWD_RTOS_MAP_ISR(ISR_SpiNss_handler, EXTI1_irq) |
But it also don't work.
Could you help me ?
Note: I use WICED v.6.2
