Wi-Fi Combo Forum Discussions
hi,
I'm using sdk 3.0.1.
The default WICED_DEFAULT_TCP_LISTEN_QUEUE_SIZE is 5.
But I found when build image with NetX/NetX_Duo, I can only have 1 connection.
Build with LwIP seems fine.
Show LessHi @ all!
I try to investigate the WPS functions for Station- and AccessPoint-Mode. In my project I use the API of "wwd_wifi.h" and need WPS via push-button. Is there any low-level access to WPS? Which modules (*.c and *.h) do I need? I guess, the most work is done by the external modem.
The type of "wiced_security_t" contains two WPS-Types. How to use them?
For STA-Mode:
- How can I get a list of (active) WPS-APs?
- How can I trigger the WPS-join?
For AP-Mode:
- How can I signalize that WPS is avaiable?
- How can I enable WPS for the connect?
Thanks for helping,
Jan Gottwald

Some demo isues:
I think "demo.appliance-BCM943362WCD4 download run" does not include WPS. I tried "wwd.appliance-BCM943362WCD4-FreeRTOS-LwIP download run", but it's not compilable with "APPLIANCE_ENABLE_WPS". The file "wps_host.h" can't be find for include.
While using debugouts, I received only unreadable pattern. Some times ago it works fine, but I can't remember any changes.
I guess, 115kBaud 8-N-1 is the right config for my terminal, isn't it?
Show LessSorry for dual posting but,
I wonder if anyone has installed and build code with SDK 3.1.1 on OS X Yosemite? I installed the sdk and expect it to compile code. I suspect I need to add some other stuff for GCC.

Bora

Show LessHi,
I have ported the wiced sdk 2.4.1 to coocox ide so that i can use swd to debug and download in my custom board.
Application equivalent to snip.scan is working fine.
My requirement is to test p2p, p2p negotiation is getting completed and wps registrar is started,
but wps_process_event returns with WPS_ERROR_NO_RESPONSE,
custom board has controller stm32f407 and bcm43362.
Any guess regarding what i could have missed?
Thanks,
Sooraj
Hello, everyone,
I am a newbie in programming ARM MCU. For trying it out, i have bought a Waveshare demo board with 32F205RBT6 MCU on it. I use STLink/V2 for programming the device via JTAG port.
For writing the program, i use WICED-SDK 3.1.1. I suppose I can use BCM943362WCD4 platform since 32F215 is similar to 32F205 (please correct me if i am wrong). So I tried to create a bin file by test.gpio-BCM943362WCD4 for programming. But after I programmed the 32F205, i could not get the expected LEDs lit or blink. However, another LED lits up instead. I suspect the pinout mapping has problem. Where should I look into and make modification? (WICED/platform/MCU/STM32F2xx/GCC/STM32F2x5?)
I am looking forward to your help.
Thanks,
Simon FONG
Show LessUsing the Wiced IDE, I see this when sending the compiled program to the eval board:
Downloading Bootloader ...
No changes detected
Downloading DCT ...
No changes detected
Downloading Application ...
Download complete
And everything works.
I'm at the point where I'd like to JTAG program my eval board. I have an ST-Link that I use and I normally take a *.bin and program and verify it. However, when I take the bin file from Wiced and program it using my JTAG programmer it doesn't work (nothing starts up, but the program is there in memory)
For example (using the uart snippet)
I have my binary in:
WICED-SDK-3.1.1\WICED-SDK\build\snip_uart-ISM43362_M3G_L44\binary\snip_uart-ISM43362_M3G_L44.bin
When I upload this, it doesn't work.
I feel like I'm missing something obvious here. Do I need to up load these files as well?
WICED-SDK-3.1.1\WICED-SDK\build\snip_uart-ISM43362_M3G_L44\binary\DCT.bin
WICED-SDK-3.1.1\WICED-SDK\build\waf_bootloader-NoOS-NoNS-ISM43362_M3G_L44-SDIO\binary\waf_bootloader-NoOS-NoNS-ISM43362_M3G_L44-SDIO.bin
If so, how do I do it (do I put them in a different address space?)
If there any documentation on doing this? I'm a little in the dark here.
Show Lesshi
I am using SN8000 Evaluation board kit.
I tried installing WICED IDE 3.1.0 / 2.4.1 in my 64 bit windows 8.1 by following steps in SN8000 EVK user guide.
But my PC didn't detected any WICED USB-JTAG Port or WICED USB Serial Port in the device manager when I connected my SN8000 Evaluation board after SDK installation , it was showing like ...SN8200EVAL1 as shown below
When I tried the same on a 32 bit windows I was able to see the WICED USB JTAG & WICED USB Serial port in device manager.
So I assume this is because of the absence of FTDI CDM drivers in 64 bit windows. (I also tried installing both SDK's in 64 bit windows but didn't helped)
How can I use the WICED SDK/IDE with all the necessary drivers in my 64 bit windows ?
Show LessHi everybody!
I have a question about the uart reception buffer.
I want to know how to free the uart buffer?
Currently to do that I only read all values on the buffer but actually I'm not sure if the buffer is clean.
Thanks for the help
