Wi-Fi Combo Forum Discussions
Hi
Our application is that the Host(STM32F205) will continuously receive streaming audio data(PCM format) from another HD radio
DSP chip through I2s interface. Then the host will pack the PCM streaming data to TCP packets and send these packets to Android tablet through wifi/wifi direct. For the first step, I am trying to develop the DMA I2S API/driver using WICED SDK 2.4.1. But I can't find any i2s sample code and device driver, etc. Can you please provide us the sample code for our application above?
Thanks in advance

Show LessHi,
Presently Customer is using BCM943362WCD4 Evaluation Board and operating system version is Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. Customer tried installing the drivers for that but we couldn't able to find the exact required drivers. If you have the drivers for this operating system please share it.
Customer has tried in moving to 32-bit Windows try to run the snip.scan app, it is not able scan the APs. Customer has also tried snip.ping, snip.ap_clients_rssi, but no progress as such. Sharing the snapshot of the serial terminal for your reference.
Looking forward for your reply.

Is wiced SDK supports or in near future will support BCM43907.
The attached is a preliminary verison of a WICED tftp module for WICED 3.3.0.
Have a look at OTA Upgrade from the Application for extra details and comments.

Show LessHi,
I am new to WICED WiFi and have a simple task.
I just need to read the output of a switch (0 or 1) and send OFF or ON to my smartphone.
What demo or current code is the best one as the starting point?
Is there any help page on how to do the app?
Thanks,
NK
Show LessHi,
are you planning to fix make files for factory_reset_dct? Is this functionality depracated? How should we generate a factory DCT?
Kind regards,

Show LessThe function host_rtos_get_semaphore from line 118~line 168 of the file(/Wiced-SDK/WICED/RTOS/NoOS/WWD/wwd_rtos.c) in app wwd.canned_send from WICED SDK3.1.2 as following:
/**
* Would normally get a semaphore
* Since there is only one thread, this function calls the @ref wwd_thread_poll_all to cause Wiced to
* repeatedly poll and process the Transmit and receive queues, until the given semaphore is
* set by a function within the transmit/receive processing. Once the set semaphore has been seen,
* it is decremented back to zero and the function returns to simulate a resuming thread
* Timeout is ignored in this function.
*
* Must not be called from interrupt context.
*
* @param semaphore : Pointer to variable which will receive handle of created semaphore
* @param timeout_ms : unsupported - Maximum period to block for. Can be passed NEVER_TIMEOUT to request no timeout
* @param will_set_in_isr : True if the semaphore will be set in an ISR. Currently only used for NoOS/NoNS
*
* @return wwd_result_t : WWD_SUCCESS if semaphore was successfully acquired
* : WICED_TIMEOUT if semaphore was not acquired before timeout_ms period
*/
wwd_result_t host_rtos_get_semaphore( host_semaphore_type_t* semaphore, uint32_t timeout_ms, wiced_bool_t will_set_in_isr )
{
...
}
As mentioned above:
Since there is only one thread, this function calls the @ref wwd_thread_poll_all to cause Wiced to
* repeatedly poll and process the Transmit and receive queues, until the given semaphore is
* set by a function within the transmit/receive processing.
I want to know that the parameter semaphore of the funtion is set by which function within the transmit/receive processing? Which line is the semaphore setted at? The semaphore can NOT get which at line 640 in the function wwd_result_t wwd_wifi_join from file "/Wiced-SDK/WICED/WWD/internal/wwd_wifi.c" as following:
result = host_rtos_get_semaphore( &join_sema, DEFAULT_JOIN_TIMEOUT, WICED_FALSE );
thanks a lot.
Show LessHi,
I can build and run snip/ota.fr properly in SDK 3.1.2. But the example doesn't show how to initiate the OTA app from any project application. Our product requires the user to initiate the ota upgrade from an Android app. Is there any API call to initiate the OTA application from the project application? After the API call, if the device will reboot, how can I have the Bootloader be able to copy the OTA Application from external flash into MCU RAM ? Any example code and documents?
Thanks

The WICED SDK version is: WICED Version: 3.1.2 e9f1fea5e98ed6220fa4005d8bf10231f2656b72
