We have a micro controller based on iMX6 architecture running linux 3.X and has SPI,I2C and other peripheral IO . And this board is connected to the WICED WIFI module . I would like to get the BCM943362 WIFI chipset accessible as a WIFI ethernet network interface in linux as say wlan0 . How do i got about this ? Is it only the mundane way of writing custom drivers which route ethernet frames via SPI to the STM chip and from there route them to BCM ? Has anyone done this . Any help in this would be appreciated .

Hi,

Wiced SDK does not support Linux.

Broadcom BCM43362 WiFi chip supports SPI and SDIO interfaces to communicate with the host MCU/CPU. Support to interface iMX6 with Broadcom WiFi chip, please contact your local Broadcom sale representative.
