Hi All,
I am using BCM20736 BLE chip for one of the projects using WICED SDK to flash BT chip. I am able to put device to discoverable mode and able to find the device, connect to device and send notification via BLE client(Light Blue) application in i-phone same which is happening by the call back mechanism. Issue is that Write handler call back is not getting called if write is pressed on i-phone client application. But the thing is that same write handler is getting called if I use Android client applications like BLE Tools,BLE Tool V2 etc and works fine. Please suggest if there is any change in configuration at BLE chip end to invoke write handler call back? We did try using multiple I-phones and result was the same. If anyone faced similar issue during development?
Regards,
Prasanna
Show LessFew question about scan and call back:
1) If I used the follow blecm_startScan to start scan, will it timeout based on the configuration blecen_cen_cfg.low_scan_duration ?
blecm_startScan (
blecen_cen_cfg.scan_type,
blecen_cen_cfg.low_scan_interval,
blecen_cen_cfg.low_scan_window,
blecen_cen_cfg.scan_adr_type,
blecen_cen_cfg.scan_filter_policy,
blecen_cen_cfg.filter_duplicates);
2) if I use blecen_Scan(LOW_SCAN) to start the scan and use blecen_Scan(NO_SCAN) to stop it before timeout, will the call back function (BLEAPP_APP_TIMER_SCAN) be called?
3) if I use blecm_setScanEnable to stop scanning, will the call back function (BLEAPP_APP_TIMER_SCAN) be called?
blecm_setScanEnable(HCIULP_SCAN_MODE_OFF, blecen_cen_cfg.filter_duplicates);

Show LessI am using the BCM20732S as a secondary processor, and the main processor will be determining when the PCB circuitry can be put into low power modes. For low power operation of the BCM20732S, I am wondering if someone can tell me the current draw of BCM20732S while it is held in reset? Does anyone have experience with this as a low-power sleep alternative?
Thanks,
Aaron
Show LessAre there any design bureaus that have developed applications for the BCM20732 on the WICED Smart SDK? (especially with SPI functionality.) We've been trying design the chip into a wearable device, but have been having great difficulty getting basic peripherals working due to the limited API documentation. I would like to buy some time from a contractor or design bureau that can help us get over the stumbling blocks by building a skeleton for our code.
Please contact our CTO at kevin@thimblebioe.com if interested.
Thanks
Show LessHi, Broadcom:
I'm working on a BLE device(no input, no display). I enabled PASSKEY_PAIRING same as Hello_Sensor apps.
I can pair and bond with my BLE device successfully using Android phone apps.
When I try to disconnect from BLE in the apps, it didn't.
The BLE device didn't receive BLECM_APP_EVT_LINK_DOWN event. So it didn't broadcast and other phone cannot find and connect to it.
When I forget the BLE or turn off Bluetooth radio in my phone, the BLE device receive BLECM_APP_EVT_LINK_DOWN event.
Test Device:
Moto G - Android 5.1
WICED Smart IDE - Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers 2.2.1
BCM92073X_LE_KIT.
Thank you
Show LessHi everyone,
The following picture is our PCB layout footprint. We use the footprint to make our test board. But we have some trouble, our success rate of soldering is only 60%. Even we use the stencil, the success rate of soldering is still low. Our hardware team think the problem is in the soldering(4 GND Pad-45~48 is float). So they would like to change BCM20737S layout footprint. The hardware team would like combine 4 GND pad(45~48) into a GND pad. Will it affect the performance of the antenna?
I have some questions about the antenna integrated in 20732S.
(1) What kind of antenna is used? (dipole, monopole, microstrip, etc.)
(2) Where is it placed on 20732S?
(3) Could I have characteristics of the antenna? (gain, radiation pattern, and so on)
(4) Could I have data about effects on human body? (SAR testing, etc.)
