I have a question about Bluetooth qualification of BCM20732.
It looks qualified with QDID 51750.
Is it qualified as module including crystal/BPF/etc.?
Or tested with only BCM20732 IC?
It would be module by description. But I'd like to make sure it.
Show LessHello,
I want to put the project on my local server and access it from two different computers. However, I could not find a way to do that without overwriting the files by the installer:
1. install on PC 1, with destination on local server (works ok)
2. install the IDE on a second computer - now it asks me to overwrite the local server address.
Is there any way to either move teh project after install, or open a project from a disk location without the install?
thank you,
Show LessHello,
I am using the provided dongle connected to my Linux PC as the central. I want to connect to the TAG sensor using hcitool and gatttool utilities.
Up to now I was successfully able to connect to a non-broadcom device using:
$ sudo hcitool lecc --random DC:58:EB:97:C5:36
Connection handle 64
When I try the same to connect to the TAG sensor running the Hello sensor example I get:
$ sudo hcitool lecc --random 20:73:2A:09:3E:41
Could not create connection: Connection timed out
Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?
Thanks
Show LessIn page 10 of 920732TAG00-HWUM100-R.pdf, it tell use that how to boot BCM20732 chipset from ROM. It can recover BCM20732 when it NVRAM is corrupted and be unable to boot up correctly.
If I use BCM20732S module, how can I do that?
Show LessThe following pertains to programming your BCM20732S based design outside of the BCM20732S Tag board environment, such as when using something like a FTDI TTL-232R-3V3 USB to Serial Cable (http://www.ftdichip.com/Products/Cables/USBTTLSerial.htm) attached to a UART header designed onto your board.
First off, note that Serial Wire Debug (SWD) debug/trace messages can also be output through the HCI UART port that’s onboard. The SWD pins are muxed with HCI UART and are used in such a manner that the hardware and firmware can auto-detect the presence of SWD or the HCI host; this means that HCI based download (programming) and SWD (debugging) are mutually exclusive of one another.
In order to use the onboard UART header and a FTDI TF232R USB to Serial cable to program your custom board, you would need to do the following:
1.
With the BCM20732S board powered down, connect the FTDI TTL-232R-3V3 USB to Serial Cable to your PC (USB) then to the UART header on your board: Yellow to RXD, Orange to RXD, Red to VBAT and Black to GND.
2.
Power your board up while making sure that RXD is held high during power up. Note that by default this pin is pulled low through an internal 10k ohm resistor.
3.
Program the board using the Broadcom IDE just as you would if a BCM20732S Tag board were connected.
I was wondering if I could get a list of all functions sitting in ROM of BCM20732.
Besides some profiles ROM also contains functions (utility functions) that can be used by user application.
Thanks
Lukas

Hello Support
I have the document called MMP20732S-TRM102-R which describes how to layout the BCM20732S SiP module on pages 21 and 22.
I think this description is wrong in on page 22 which shows a drawing of the SiP module and the ground traces around the module. I think the drawing itself is showing the layout looking up from the underside of a PCB whereas the labels for side A, B, C & D have been assigned to the drawing as if the viewer is looking down on the top of the package. Therefore, these labels have been assigned to the wrong sides of the SiP module in the drawing.
The reason for this remark is the description shown on page 21 which states that the signal tracks should leave the module between pins 16 to 19, which would be side D in the drawing if the 'white dot' signifies pin 1. Side D is also the side that you want the antenna ground plane to be routed away from the package, so why would you route digital traces out of side D while also tracking out a very sensitive antenna ground plane??
I would prefer a far better drawing of the layout than the one shown on page 22 if possible, one that explicitly shows the traces for each layer for an optimium layout than the crude drawing in the document.
A downloadable file containing Gerber files for the BCM20732S would be far better.
