Smart Bluetooth Forum Discussions
Hello,
We are currently at the stage of getting the necessary certifications for our product, and I am not 100% sure how to go through the bluetooth certifications and get our product listed? I have tried to go through some of the documentation on this website but still don't have a clear idea.
Currently I am using the BCM20732 chip (not the module) and I understand I need to make a new product listing since I am not using the qualified design with the module. Is there a guideline to help go through the process from the Bluetooth SIG website?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Show LessHi all!
Just getting to grips with the SDK & finding my feet at the minute. I've been able to upload the heart rate monitor app and connect a phone to it. I can see the number for heart rate seems to increment every second or so.
Can anyone point me to the point in the sample project where that number is written to the heart rate monitor profile?

Show LessI have some question about BCM20737S as follows
1,How can I programming bcm20747s? and what document can I refer about this?
.Datasheet doesn't refer about programming to ROM(or EEPEROM? I'm wondering EEPROM can be program memory.)
2,What link do I refer in order to get all of bcm20737s document?
.For example, when I use PWM module, I need to know about IO registers related to PWM module.
I read "wiced smart tag hardware user manual BCM920737TAG-03".
I have a question in Page 12, what is the difference between "Boot from ROM" and "Application Firmware Software Boot-UP"?
I think both means Boot from ROM... I think write Firmware Software means write to "ROM" .
Show LessHi,
I am in need of UART to BLE application example. From my previous experience, I used Bluegiga (Cable Replacement Profile) and Nordic (Generic Profile). I am testing Broadcom solution MMP20736S but am not able to find similar profile as Bluegiga or Nordic.
Is there application example of UART to BLE application using generic profile 0x1800?
Appreciate your assistance.
Thanks.
What are the limits for the parameter in this call. I believe that they are from -10 to +4 dbm. And it is in 2 dmb intervals. So +4, +2, 0, -2, -4, -6, -8 and -10. Also is -2 the same as 0xFE for this call? I am seeing some odd results on power when changing the parameter in this call. Need more specific info on its real limits.
Show LessHi all,
on broadcom blog portal I can read about Wiced Sense DevKit: "It supports iBeacon technology, the latest wireless charging standards, Near Field Communication, and can get over-the-air firmware updates for future upgrades."
Can anyone explain what does it mean "Near Field Communication" ?
The WicedSense can read a small NFC tag and then notify/comunicate it via BLE to a smartphone ?
Thanks in advantage!
Maurizio
Show LessI need to buy bcm20737s over 5,000 .
I checked macnica, mouser, but they sell only around several hundred of them at present.
Do you know BROADCOM partner, which can supply large amount of bcm20737s quickly?
thank you.
Show LessFor a start-up the availability of a part in small quantities is a concern. Would the BCM20736 or BCM20737 be available from Mouser or Digi-Key? I can find the nRF51822 on Mouser but not the BCM20736-37.
Thank you.
