WICED Smart Bluetooth

Anonymous

Hi,

I have some issues while programming BCM20736 Bluetooth Chip through Chipload.exe in Command prompt. Please see the attached picture for more reference.

While I sent the programming command through CMD, Command Prompt responds "Runtime R6002 Error" . We have tried same command with WinXP computer and it is working fine. So it seems my programming command is right. So I suspect some problem is in Chipload.exe which is not supporting for Windows 7. Can some one help me to solve this issue? Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Palanivel

For programming BCM20736 module, I'm following this link " http://community.broadcom.com/community/wiced-smart/wiced-smart-forums/blog/2014/04/23/factory-progr...

We had two groups internally test this and neither were able to reproduce.

Essentially, when they tried downloading to the TAG board using the steps described in the Blog on a Windows 10 computer, it worked fine. No run time errors.

They used the version of the ChipLoad.exe and cgs.exe files that are attached to the blog post.here: Programming the TAG2/TAG3 Board using command line tools

Your issue seems to be related to a corrupted Windows Visual C++ install (i.e. bad registry or corrupt DLLs).

Perhaps some of the guidance in these posts can that explain the clean-up procedure will help:

This is the same issue as the one reported here: Download the firmware via chipload.exe, but report error code R6002

lucyli is looking into it.

Dear mwf_mmfae/Lucyli,

Thanks for your above comments and solution. Now our programming setup is working fine with new version ChipLoad.exe file. I have downloaded from the attached link https://community.broadcom.com/servlet/JiveServlet/download/38-6051/Loader_SDK2.2_20737.zip.zip

After used the above linked ChipLoad.exe, we didn't find the Runtime Error R6002 again while programming. Thanks for your support.

Palanivel.
