As a courtesy to Bluetooth Low Energy developers, Inspector Gatt is now available on the Apple Mac App Store for free (Mac App Store - Inspector Gatt).
Inspector Gatt provides a platform for developers and interested parties to scan for Bluetooth® Low Energy peripherals and interact with their Gatt services.
Inspector Gatt:
1. Scans for and connects to Bluetooth® Low Energy peripherals
2. Exposes Gatt services contained in a connected peripheral
3. Exposes characteristics contained in a particular service
4. Exposes descriptors contained in a particular characteristic
Once a characteristic is selected, the user may read, write, or subscribe to the characteristic depending on that characteristic's properties.
The software adheres to the Generic Attribute Profile (Gatt) specification located in Core System Package [Host Volume] Part G of the BLUETOOTH® SPECIFICATION Version 4.1.
https://www.bluetooth.org/en-us/specification/adopted-specifications
Inspector Gatt is currently supported on OSX 10.0 or greater.
Send me a screen shot (inspector.gatt@sienabay.com) of Inspector Gatt running on your Mac and I will send you the source code. App Store reviews and comments are also appreciated
