Hi,
I have been trying to install the WICED-Smart-SDK-2.2.1-IDE-Installer.bin on Ubuntu 14.04 but with no success.
At the end of the installing screen it tells me that some errors have occured.
Do you have any ideas on how to fix this?
I have tried changing the java version to 6, 7 and 8 (open-jdk) but with no effect.
Find below some of them copied from the error log.
Thanks.
Sylvio

The fix below helped me to get it running on 64bit Ubuntu 14.04
64 bit - Eclipse (ADT) crash Failed to write core dump. Core dumps have been disabled - Ask Ubuntu

Unfortunately, only the 32b version is working correctly within the latest version of the SDK.
I do not have an ETA for when the 64b version will be available.

I have run into the same problem. Maybe it would be a good idea to add this info to the download page. I don't think there are many that runs 32bit linux anymore.

Thanks for the feedback. I have added the 32b only support notes to the SDK download and all links pointing to it.

Note that my previous assumptions about 64b Linux support were wrong.
Specifically, vik86 has tried on Ubuntu 64 bit with the current SKD and its indeed functional.
He believes that there is an issue with your setup and will be reporting back on the steps you need to take to resolve.
Again, the Smart SDK 2.2.1 is functional on 64 bit Ubuntu 14.04.
