mwf_mmfae Are you planning to support BT v4.2 for BCM20737 via FW upgrade only, or a new chip revision will be necessary? Or a completely new chip?
We are interested in "LE Secure Connections" feature from BT v4.2.

Please state what 4.2 features your customer is interested in so we can consolidate the needs of the larger community. I believe they are all "optional", so one could already state all vendors are compliant!

Thanks for sharing this level of detail.
We will share with the product line as they are interested in which elements of the BT 4.2 spec are being requested by customers.

If we decide to support BT 4.2 on the 2073X series (SoC and module), the added support would come in the way of patches applied within a new version of the SDK, which would be an extension of the A1 firmware in distribution today.
It's important to understand that a supplier can say they are BT 4.2 compliant if only one of the BT 4.2 features are supported.
We will update the forum if we decide to move the BCM2073X in the direction of BT 4.2 compliance.
