We want to use FX3 as USB2 bridge for UART, I2C and SPI only.
In that case we need to turn off FX3 VIO1, VIO2, U3RXVDDQ and U3TXVDDQ according to datasheet and AN70707.
What is turn off power supplies mean?
Can we leave these power lines floating? Or should we connect them directly to VSS or via capacitor to VSS?

I have been using an old version of FX3 SDK 1.3 since v1.3.4 have some bugs.
After searching in this forum, I found that FX3 SDK 1.3.5 was planned to be released in Dec 2019, but almost 3 years later it seems like it is still not released.
So, are there any updated release schedule?
My main issue with 1.3.4 is described here:
Solved: break does not work after upgrading to FX3 SDK 1.3... - Infineon Developer Community
Apparently, I did not try the suggested method, probably because it is not very well described how to do it.
I have seen other bugs in v1.3.4 in this forum that would need a fix.
Show LessDear All,
We received the following questions from our customer who is developing their product using EZ-USB FX3 and PSoC 5LP.
(1) Can the customer ask Infineon to assign or acquire PID for their product, which is using EZ-USB FX3 and PSoC 5LP.
(2) They heard that PSoC 5LP requires PIDs for bootloader mode and application mode.
But they are expecting that EZ-USB FX3 requires only 1 PID or do they need 2 PIDs for before loading firmware and after loading firmware?
So they are wondering if they need total of 3 or 4 PIDs for a product using PSoC 5LP and EZ-USB FX3.
My understanding is that if their product utilize both PSoC 5LP's USB and EZ-USB FX3's USB at the same time,
depending on the PID(s) required for EZ-USB FX3, they need 3 or 4 PIDS.
But if only 1 USB, which is probably EZ-USB FX3 and PSoC 5LP is connected to EZ-USB FX3 and its USB is not utilized,
only 1 PID (or 2 if EZ-USB FX3 also requires 2 PID).
Is my understanding correct? Or please correct me.

Show LessHi,
I have created the AUTO SIGNAL DMA channel between UIB and SIB and the buffer size is 8k and also I have created the DMA callback function.
And from host PC, using retVal = Endpt->XferData(data, len) API i'm pushing data. Here the length is not constant, it varies from 256 to 7k.
To push data to SDIO device, the data length should be multiple of 256 bytes. So in Host PC itself we are making the data length as multiple of 256 bytes and then pushing data through Endpt->XferData() API. After pushing each buff i'm getting DMA callback function. In callback function CyU3PDmaCBInput_t *input parameter gives us the info about the buffer and received data. Here input->buffer_p.count parameter gives us the valid data count in the DMA buffer. If the the transmitted data len is multiple of 1024 then the input->buffer_p.count parameter says that the valid data len is 8k and for other data lengths i'm getting the correct value.
I'm trying to understand why such behaviour and how can I solve this issue?
Please help me solve the issue.
Thanks & regards

Hi,
We are checking the feasibility of using FX3S in one of our project. We have some queries regarding this.
1. What is the data storage bandwidth to store a file in FAT Fs in EMMC?
2. If we interface H264 Encoded stream through GPIF ,how can we wrap H264 to mp4 container?
Thanks in advance.
Show LessHi all,
I am trying to update the ThreadX to the latest version for Cypress FX3. Would you please guide what specific code should I modify to get the ThreadX updated?
Note: I found a community thread where they say it is possible to make it compatible with FX3 with slight changes in the ThreadX source code, but they don't specify what must be change and how.
Here is the thread.

Hi Team,
From the datasheet, I could see that FX3s can be used for integrating the Wifi to the product. We are looking for a product where FX3s can be used to stream the H264 encoded video over Wifi and also to record the video to eMMC.
Could you please guide me to get the supported software stack for the same for FX3S.

Hi,
I want to update the Fx3 Firmware on to SPI Flash from my application .
For this, I follow the blog :
https://community.infineon.com/t5/Resource-Library/FX3-Fail-Safe-Firmware-Update/ta-p/246074
Same thing I done on SPI Flash with same Boot-loader and Main Application Firmware provide in the link. Its working fine, able to jump at Main Application flash at 0x6000 location on SPI Flash.
Instead of using the same Main Application ( from link ), I use the "cyfxgpiftousb" example Firmware provided with FX3 SDK. Its not working, unable to jump at cyfxgpiftousb application flash at 0x6000 location.
I read back the SPI Flash and compare the data with .img file, both have same data.
I also try another basic example , but the issue is same ??
So guide us What we are missing ??
Hi team,
I am working on CX3 from past few days, I just wanted to know how .a file is being created and used in CX3 programs.
I tried to get details regarding .a file over internet but I couldn't. It will be great if you could describe how .a file is created and used in CX3.
How we can link the .a file to Cx3 firmware source?
Thank you,
Shafi.
