In FX3APIGuide.pdf, the explanation of CyU3PDmaChannelSetXfer is: Set a transfer on the DMA channel.The function starts a transaction the selected DMA channel. It should be invoked only when the channel is in CY_U3P_DMA_CONFIGURED state.
From the explanation CyU3PDmaChannelSetXfer starts data transaction,when use the function more then one time ,how do they work,For exzample:
Hello, the QTH-060 series Samtec connector is used as the GPIF II connector on the FX3 Development Board. But there are several options for a connector in the QTH-60 series. Is there someone knowing the exact order number (or Part number) of the connector?
Hello, while the latest SDK for the FX3 being built with Eclipse and GCC gives some marginal finacial advantages over some professional solution like Keil or IAR ( heck, anything else would habe been a better solution than this c..p ) it seems that we are stuck for the for the moment ( hopefully Cypress will reconsider and support something else ) with this pretty cumbersome development enviroment.
My question, besides the (very light) information that comes with the SDK documentation is there any AN or tutorial about starting an project from scratch without copying one of the firmware examples and hacking away hoping is still compiles correctly?
It seems that under the cumbersome java IDE someone has to deal with the dreaded "configuration files" half of it being non-documented, in the typical "open source culture" where time is free and just to start a new project that actually compiles you have to read 2.5 bibles on non-project related stuff.
Any pointer to a tutorial, ideally with some explantions about the files involved somewhere will be very appreciated.
Also if by chance I've missed it, if there are any other development environments supported, kindly please tell me, and no, "you only need your vi and make files" is not something to be used in 2014 soon to be.
Many thanks and sorry for the rant but compared with the FX2 Keil the new environment is really frustrating.

Show LessHi,
I connected FX3 board to USB3.0 and I am following this link to compile and run an example.
Using EZ USB Suite, I successfully compiled one of the example projects. But I am having trouble with the next step - Installing Drivers. When I open Device Manager, I dont see WestBridge anywhere. In fact, I don't have Other Devices at all. I checked USB controllers and I don't find anything there too!
How do I get the driver to install?
Thanks!
PS: I am on Windows 8, 64 bit machine and I have Cypress SDK installed at: C:/Program Files(x86)/Cypress/EZ-USB FX3 SDK/1.3/
Show LessHi
I would like to do a program that only read data from devices.
I plan to send a vendor command to request data from both devices and both devices will send data to host. Is it open two threading?
Best regards

Show LessHi all,
How to timestamp at host when a data packet from device arrive at host? and how the host application read this timestamp?

Show LessHi! I am trying to do a sector erase of the FX3 DVK's flash.
Having programmed the FX3 with USBFlashProg.img and setting the following parameters on Control center:
6. Erase SPI flash sector
bmRequestType = 0x40
bRequest = 0xC4
wValue = 0x0001
wIndex = SPI flash sector address (Each sector is assumed to be of 64 KB and the byte address is
computed by multiplying wIndex by 65536)
wLength = 0x0000
No data phase is associated with this command.
It fails to erase but actually it did correctly. How is it possible?
I didn't quite understand how to set the wIndex to erase the remaining 7 sectors neither.
Help me please 🙂
Thanks!
