Our device dropped frames after extending the long line. So we want to measure The rate of USB3.0 transmission of the 1080p@30fps's YUV image before extending the long line and after extending the long line. Can you offer a real measurement data or measuring method?
Show LessWhat state of fx3-gpio pin, during power up before firmware upload?
Thanks!
Show LessHello -
I have an FX3 design that has been manufactured and distributed for about 2 years. We use the CyUSB3.sys driver (renamed) with our own custom VID/PID and custom (rebuilt) FX3 boot loader firmware to load FINAL firmware onto the FX3 (that does our "stuff").
Starting last fall we've been having problems with the system getting stuck in the loader phase. The device comes up in device manager but fails to load the final firmware, restart itself, and instantiate itself as the final product. This is only a problem on Windows 10. Our final driver (2nd stage) is correctly signed with an EV cert by Microsoft.
This is a problem ONLY on USB SuperSpeed host ports (USB3.0), high speed works great EVERY time. Our product does NOT need SS rates, 2.0 rates work fine.
This problem can be intermittent (unplug/plug USB cable fixes it) or pervasive. Oddly, if a USB3.0 hub is placed in the line between the peripheral and computer, it comes up every time.
Many of these installations were installed and running and suddenly started having a problem. The field service guys keep backing out Windows updates which sometimes corrects the problem, sometime not.
Anyone seen anything like this????

Show LessHi, I am planning to use "CYUSB3012-BZXC" IC in one of my project. As per datasheet, this IC needs 1.2V, 3.3V & 5V supply. In datasheet, current consumption is provided only for 1.2V & 5V but not provided for 3.3V. Can i get current consumption related information?
Show LessHello,
I am using spi flash for fx3 booting.earlier we were using M25P40VMN6TPB FLASH.This IC is obsulated now.so we are looking for spi flash that should be compatible to fx3 (other part number).I found that S25FS064S,S25FS128S,S25LFL064L are compatible to fx3.please verify this and tell me the correct part number. And also please tell me related commands(read, write, size) to these spi flash clearly.
regards,
geetha.
Show LessHi,
We are designing our schematic. We already use a 19.2MHz oscillator in other design, but this one has 10ns/6ns rise and fall time.
In CX3 datasheet, specification given on CLKIN/REFCLK for rise and fall time is 3ns.
Can we use our oscillator ? Shall we seek another one ? Does someone have a reference or partnumber for a compatible oscillator ?
Thank you !
Benjamin.
Show LessBased on Figure 38. Final state machine diagram in AN75779, is it capable of detecting camera sensor SOF (Start Of Frame)?
Or it's required to add some new states? Thanks!
Show LessHi. I'm having trouble getting a UVC video using the Zedboard and the AN75779 example project. The Zedboard is connected to the GPIF using a FMC Interconnect Board. I want to generate a video stream on the Zedborad to my computer. I've tried to disable I2C communication between the boards. Right now there is a black image when I open my webcam software on my computer. Can anyone help me understand what's going wrong?
On the FX3 side
- I have changed the GPIF bus to 16 bits.
- I've commented out sensor.c/SensorInit() and I've changed sensor.c/SensorI2cBusTest() to auto pass. See attached sensor.c
On the Zedboard
- I have 16 bit vector of incrementing data (I don't currently care what the image output looks like). The data is connected from DQ0 to DQ15.
- I'm making a 640x480 image. LV is high for 640 pixel cycles and low for 160 bits pixel cycle. FV is high for 480 lines (of 800 pixels) and low for 45 lines
- LV is connected to DQ28 and FV is connected to DQ29. As in the GPIF designer
- The pixel clock is 25.175 MHz. FV is every 60 Hz
- Reset is currently a constant high
On the Computer connected to the FX3
- The computer reconsigns the FX3 as a webcam
- The FX3 is producing a black image when opened in a webcam program
