I am looking for a solution similar to the one described in this post:
It seems as though the FXS3 is no longer supported, is there another recommend workflow for developing USB mass storage peripherals?

Hello,
FX3S is supported and you can find the reference designs in the kits section of this link https://www.cypress.com/products/ez-usb-fx3s
The thread mentions that CYUSB3KIT-003: Super Speed Explorer kit cannot be used as Mass storage device as it uses FX3 (CYUSB3014) (not FX3S: CYUSB303x) which do not have storage port. FX3S support the storage ports.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Under the kits section at that link, it says to email some people about getting the kit but when I did so I got a reply saying the FX3S is no longer supported.
Thanks, Max

Hi,
I contacted the two listed emails arvind_kumar@pactroninc.com and brian_koo@pactroninc.com about the FX3S. The use case we are hoping to explore is prototyping a USB mass storage device with custom behavior running on the device that can observe and intercept the communications to the storage medium. The FX3S seemed to be an appropriate platform to for that prototyping based on the description.
The FX3 explorer kit seems to have the desired USB functionality but without storage it is not quite suitable for this prototype.
Thanks, Max

Hi,
Apologies I miss-typed the kit I emailed was the FX3S DVK. It seems more suited to the needs or our project.
Thanks, Max

Hi,
If it is possible 2 FX3S DVK kits would be an appropriate number for our use case.
Thanks, Max
