Hi,

We use the CYUSB3065 for device in our design, and will add a multiplexer(PI3USB302-AZBE) in front of CYUSB3065, according to the ref. design(page 2) there is no cc1 / cc2 pin monitor for cable direction, so how does the CYUSB3065 to control the sel pin of PI3USB302-AZBE, do we need to add one usb 3.0 port control IC for CC1/CC2 monitor and muliplexer direction control? thanks!

Best Regards,

ZZQ

Hello,

In the reference design, the GPIO 22 of CX3 is used as sel pin for the mux PI3USB302-AZBE. From the datasheet of the mux port 1 will be active when sel pin is LOW. When sel pin is HIGH, port 2 will be active. The GPIO 22 should be driven by the firmware for selecting the correct port. The details of this firmware implementation is already mentioned in the following threads:

Please let me know if you have any queries on this.
