HI,
I'm using UVC+UART image file for FX3.
For Windows 10,it works fine for both UART communication and video streaming are working. In the device manager, I can see Imaging Device and COM Port.
For Windows 7, streaming is video streaming is fine but com port is detected in Device Manager. Please help if anyone has experienced a similar issue.

Hello Jayaram,
To install the Microsoft CDC Driver:
1. Right click on the device and choose 'Update Driver'.
2. Choose 'Search automatically for updated driver software' from the next window.
3. If the driver does not get installed automatically, choose the below procedure.
To install the Cypress CDC Driver:
1. Right click on the device and choose 'Update Driver'.
2. Choose 'Browse my computer for driver software'.
3. Choose 'Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer'.
4. Then choose, 'Have Disk'.
5. Navigate to the path containing the CypressSerial.inf file in the attachment and point to the INF file.
(Choose the INF file corresponding to the OS and the architecture)
6. Choose 'USB-Serial Adapter' from the list and click on 'Next'.
7. USB-Serial Adapter device can now be seen under the 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers' section and a new unknown device named 'Virtual Port x' appears under the 'Unknown Devices' section.
8. Follow steps 1-5 for the new unknown device.
9. Choose 'USB Serial Port' from the list and click on 'Next'.
10. USB Serial Port can now be seen under the 'Ports' section.
Password for the attachment: cypress
NOTE: The attachment can also be obtained as part of the USB-Serial SDK.

Hello,
- Do you mean to say that the COM port is not detected in Windows 7?
- Please let us know the firmware that you are using.
- Is the device enumerating in the same speed (SuperSpeed / High Speed) in both Windows 10 and Windows 7?

Yes, COM port is not detecting in Windows 7.
USBVideoClass_UVC_CDC is the firmware that I'm using.
I'm using USB3.0 for both Windows 7 and Windows 10

Hello Jayaram,
- I am able to use the descriptor file that you shared and the device enumerates fine.
- Please uninstall the device 'Cypress FX3 Bootloader Device' from the device manager. Check the 'Uninstall Driver Software for this Device' if prompted.
- Disconnect and re-connect the device.
- Look for any 'Unknown Devices' in the device manager.
Also, please let me know if you are enumerating the device as a USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 device.

Hi Srinath,
I have uninstalled the device 'Cypress FX3 Bootloader Device' and reconnected the device now it is detecting as Eagle in 'Other Devices'
I have connected the device to USB3.0 Port.

Thanks for the support. Issue resolved after updating the driver with 'CypressSerial.inf '
Both serial communication and streaming are working fine now.
