All,

FX3 SDK v1.2.3. is uploaded on the following webpage.

http://www.cypress.com/?rID=57990

FX3 API help has been integrated into the Eclipse development environment.

I know that a few customers are looking for a bug fix related to CyU3PSysEnterSuspendMode API and consistent enumeration of FX3 device connected to USB 3.0.

This SDK has fixes for both of these.

Please refer to release notes available on the same page to know more on what all  changes done compared to 1.2.2.

Regards,

Sai Krishna.

After installing this update my debug settings have been lost.

The menus in Eclipse after updating looks nothing like the screenshots from setting up debugging the "FX3 Programmes Manual".

The Run menu contains only one menu item, "External Tools".

What do I need to do to get debugging up and running again?

Hi,

Please make sure that you are opening the right tool.

Now you should be opening the "EZ USB suite" instead of Eclipse.

You can find "EZ USB Suite" in the following path:

Start --> Cypress --> Eclipse --> EZ USB suite

Thanks,

Sai Krishna.

I am using the EZ USB suite, I've got the new Cypress/GPIF buttons on the toolbar.

The problem is that the Run menu which is needed to set up the debugging has only got one sub-item called "External Tools".

I am trying to follow the "FX3 Programmers Manual" to setup the debugging again since your update process has deleted _all_ the settings I had in the old version.

On page 160, the maual shows a screenshot of the Run menu and tells you to select the menu "Debug Configurations...", I can't do that because it does no exist, the _only_ menu item under the run menu is "External Tools".

Do I have to uninstall version 1.2.3 and go back to the old version to get debugging to work?

I have lost all of my debug settings too, if they are still there then you need to update the setup instructions because you cannot follow them, I am using the segger j-link

 Hi All

Seems like a bug that on installation, by default , some of the icons are missing on tool bar. We are working on fixing it.

Work-aorund: Please do the following:

1) Help> Cheat sheets > Cypress FX3 > Create FX3 Template Project

2) Click "File > New > C project" in the ceat sheet window on the right shown in attachment 1.jpg.

3) Follow the steps shown in 2.jpg and 3.jpg and click finish. (Please see attachments)

The missing icons should appear.

Thanks

Nikhil

Another smaller work around to display the missing icons:

Click Window>Open Perspective>C/C++

Thanks
