Due to the termination of deliveries of memory of K9K8G08U0D decided to replace this memory with memory of K9K8G08U0F with the built-in support of ECC. Comparison of datasheet on these chips showed that there are differences in time response characteristics. Prompt whether support of these chips is planned and also whether it is possible as that to correct a firmware for work with this flash-memory.

Hello,
Seems like the flash is not compatible with the the device as it cannot be formatted. We have performed compatibility test with several NAND flash device which can be found in this link. Please use the recommend flash devices.

Hello,
The AC timing characteristics of the two NAND flash devices in the datasheet are matching.
Can you please be more specific on which timing characteristics you are referring.

Hello,
Into the account of timing characteristics it only assumption. May be in Tprog or Tbers. And business at all not in it can. I have a development kit of CY3686. At installation of K9K8G08U0D chip in it the device seems as flash disk and it is possible to work with it. If to set K9K8G08U0F, then the device as flash disk seems, but can not be formatted.
Best Regards,
Alexey

Hello!
It would be desirable to use a chip with internal ECC. What will allow to create more reliable device. Really it will not turn out to finish a firmware for work with this chip of memory?

Alexey

Hello,
The compatibility test performed with the NAND flash devices listed under NX2LP Compatibility List does not have internal ECC.
The flash devices with ECC should be separately tested to check for compatibility.
