In the FX2LP TRM,They have given that IFCONFIG.5 (output enable) Bit must not be set to 1 when IFCONFIG.7 is equal to 0 (external clock).what whould be the reason?
When IFCLK source is configured to be external (IFCONFIG.7 = 0), the IFCLK pin acts as an Input pin. So, this pin cannot simultaneously drive the IFCLK. Hence, the output enable bit (IFCONFIG.5) should be set to 0 when the IFCLK source is external.
