USB low-full-high speed peripherals Forum Discussions
Hi,
I want to support android on CY7C65211.
Do I have to put the driver by the customer?
Or is the driver originally included in the android?
Best Regards,
Show LessDear community,
I have a project that need to interface FPGA with USB FX2 via GPIF FIFO read, FX2 then retrieve all valid data and display it in PC.
FPGA sends data to FX2 with corresponding datavalid (READY2) signal.
I have configured the GPIF interface as shown below:
And here is the waveform:
The problem is I always:
+ Missing and the 2 first package(1)
+ Receive redundant package at the end of cycle (2)
because GPIF always checks the condition at the end of the clock cycle (although decision points are placed at the beginning of the state in which they occur, not end).
Here is the FPGA waveform:
I solved (1) by adding 2 clock cycles after asserting CTRL [1: 0] then getting data , it's just a temporary solution. (2) still exists.
Can you please give me the best solution? I just want to get data at signal datavalid (READY2).
Thanks very much!
Best regards,
Ho.
Show LessI have the CYUSBS234 USB-Serial (Single Channel) Development Kit configured as USB->Serial. I tested the hardware using the virtual port with Putty (windows) and moserial (linux).
I also notice that when plugged to and Android phone the /dev/ttyACM0 is created and working. To test it, I use a generic Serial USB terminal App and the communication works the same as with Windows or Linux.
So, the hardware and chip configuration are working good. At this point, I try to use the proprietary lib to test the GPIO and special chip features using Android. For that purpose I installed the CyUSBSerial.apk from the USB-Serial Software Development Kit but it crashes and won't open (I have root the phone).
I try to replicate the setup explained in the README and installed Eclipse, NDK and SDK in a separate directory to avoid conflicts with Android Developer. After many tweaks and hassle, I manage to recompile the libCyUSBSerial.so, but when I attempt to run the app to generate the APK , I receive the this error:
Errors occurred during the build.
Errors running builder 'Android Package Builder' on project 'CyUSBSerial'.
sun/misc/BASE64Encoder
It seems that the code uses deprecated libraries or is just too old, from the Readme of the CYUSBSerial_SDK_ANdroid_B73C_0 you use:
Tested platform:
================================================================================
Application has been tested on OMAP 4460 ES Panda board, running android 4.0.4
and kernel version 3.0.8
It also seems that the SDK has not been updated since 2013.
How can I use the kit with modern Android, or solve the APK problem? Is there planes to update to Android Development Studio or are we talking about an obsolete product?

I am using an CYBT-413055-EVAL EZ-BT for some basic test assemblies in my project. On this board there is an CY7C65215 Dual USB silicon chip.
I need to reconfigure this chip for my purposes. Therefore I tried to connect to the chip by using the Cypress USB-Serial Configuration Utility . But this software does not see the CY7C65215 Dual USB on CYBT-413055-EVAL EZ-BT.
How can I connect?
PS: I have tested the Cypress USB-Serial Configuration Utility with CYUSBS236 USB-Serial (Dual Channel) Development Kit which works fine.

Hi
I’m Hyungu from Nexite that is a company making Mainboard.
Thank you for contacting me.
I am writing to request technical supports for CY7C68013A-128AXI.
I have problems.
- Problem : In device manager, I can see device, but CF card Disk volume is not made.
So, In Disk management E-driver No Media state.
I added some image & our board schematic.
How can I know cause of this problem?
PS. I searched all of data CY7C68013A but, I can’t complete this issue.
Also, When I wrote configuration file on EEPROM, I used ROM Writer. (Not used the blaster.exe)
I’m attaching problem image & our board schematic.

Hi
Would you please advise if there is a Linux solution for the CY7C65215A Errata 5 - I2C Reads are slower when USB-Serial is configured as I2C Master?
The workaround provided lists a windows solution only.
Thanks
Malcolm
Show LessDear Sir or Madam,
Customer would like to know:
- Is CY7C65213A hardware base for RS485 or it needs to program a firmware?
- The snapshot attached ( the red circle TX,RX) is RS232 UART, and implement a RS485 transceiver then the signal will be RS485 output. Is it correct?
- Does Cypress have a RS485 transceiver solution?
Thank you for your support..
Hi
We are using the CY7C65215A under Linux and see a wide variability in the time it takes for a byte write to the same device with the same data. What is the reason for the large difference in byte transmit time and how can it be eliminated?
Two example I2C traces below, both are writes to an NXP PCA9540B I2C bus multiplexer and both traces contain the same data however one takes twice the time to send the data. The slave device does not use clock stretching so the slave isn't holding the clock line, the delay is in the Cypress part.
Regards
Malcolm

By using EZ USB suite and utility I have created one of the configuration for the OV5640 image sensor. But when I built the project, I'm getting the error "cycx3gpifwaveform.h file not found."
In the comment, it is mention that "Get the header file from CY Tech Support and add it to the project."
This will be a generic file or the specific one?
How can I get hold of this file?
I have tried contacting CY team through email.
