Hi

I have a question about the ATA standards supported by theI have a question about CY7C68300C-56LTXC

Qestion1
I use the IF below. Is there a compatibility issue?
・ ATA3
-ATAPI command: Compliant with SFF-8020 Rev2.6 and SFF-8090 Rev0.99 specifications
・ Transfer mode:
PIO mode 0,1,2,3,4
Single Word mode 0,1,2
Multi Word mode 0,1,2

I checked the data sheet, but some modes are not supported.
Should we determine in the system that an unsupported mode is needed?

Qestion2
CY7C68300C-56LTXC The following signals are not supported.
・ DASP
・ PDIAG
・ CSEL

Does CY7C68300C-56LTXC support only one ATA device?
Is the above signal unnecessary if there is only one ATA device?

Hi,

AT2LP only supports modes listed in the datasheet. Therefore from the set modes, it will use the highest one used by the connected driver.

CY7C68300C-56LTXC supports 2 ATA devices in the configurations mentioned in the datasheet. Please refer to AT2LP RDK schematic for pin connection - https://www.cypress.com/documentation/reference-designs/cy4615b-hi-speed-usb-20-ataatapi-bus-powered...

Best regards,
Pranava
