Hello,

I have two questions.

1. We can see the Notes [3. 4.] on CY7C65213-32LTXI / CY7C65213A-32LTXI (32-pin QFN) .

     There are no notes on CY7C65213-28PVXI / CY7C65213A-28PVXI (28-pin SSOP) .

     Do the Notes [3. 4.] also apply to  CY7C65213-28PVXI / CY7C65213A-28PVXI (28-pin SSOP) ?

2. All Input pins require an external pullup, what does the following mean?

Best regards,

Yocchi

Hi,

Please find my answers to your above questions.

1. Yes, those notes apply to all part numbers.

2. As stated in the datasheet Note 5 - "Any GPIO, configured as “Input” should either be pulled high or low. A floating input pin (Tristate) has an indeterminate voltage level that can cause excess internal
current consumption. A 10 kΩ pull-up or pull-down resistor is recommended on each of the input pin."

The above note applies for GPIO pins. UART pins in CY7C65213/CY7C65213A have internal pull-ups. The Table 2. you have shared refers to disabling those internal pull-ups during suspend mode in order to reduce current consumption of the chip.

Do let me know if you need any further clarifications.

Best regards,
Pranava

Hello Pranava-san,

Thank you very much for your help.

Does "UART pins in CY7C65213/CY7C65213A have internal pull-ups." mean that RXD, DSR#,DCD# and CTS# have internal pull-ups?

Best regards,
