Hello Maurizio Donini,

FX2 has only 4kB of buffer space. So, in order to use FX2 for UVC class video streaming, the FX2 can be interfaced to a FPGA which in turn is connected to the image sensor. In this case, the UVC class headers can be added in the FPGA and the FX2 acts as a means of transporting the data to the USB host.

Best regards,

Hello Maurizio Donini,

FX3 can support 640*480 video streaming at 30fps in USB 2.0 mode. The bandwidth under this condition comes up around 18MBps, which can be achieved in USB 2.0. Also, FX3 has enough buffers to hold the data coming from the image sensor/FPGA.

Please ensure that in case of using ISOC transfers, sufficient bandwidth is available for the device to stream video data.

Dear Srinath,

thank you very much for your answer. Just because USB2.0 has enough bandwidth can you say that FX2 is able too?

thank you
