Hello,

It seems that the port is not in 2.1A Apple charging mode since the D+ voltage should be within 2.55V and 2.81V, and D- voltage should be within 1.9V and 2.1V. Please refer to the App Note for configuring HX3 for 2.1A Apple charging mode. Please also review the jumpers settings from section 3.1 in the CY4609 User Guide.

Best Regards,
Sananya

Hello,

Please ensure that the VBUS_DS pin connection is set to 5V on the kit. If you're using the kit with I2C EEPROM mode, please check if the Apple charging current limit is set to 2.1A in the Blaster Plus settings.

It is recommended to test when the connected phone has low charge because the current consumption will be determined by the phone even if HX3 can support upto 2.1A.

Please also probe the Dp/Dm voltage levels if you still see that the charging is at a lower current to confirm if the port is in Apple charging mode.

i measured voltage of D+ and D- point of USB Port (with connecting IPhone 7 device ). It shows 2.6 v for D+ and shows 1.5 v for D-  and charging current is 1.12 Amp. why this is not charging with a current near of 2.1 amp ?
