I want to send a custom SCSI command to my Cypress device from the Host. I'm exploring using the Cypress CyUSB.NET API, in particular the CyUSBStorDevice's SendScsiCmd() function. Some questions:

- According to the Programmer's Reference, the SendScsiCmd() uses the CDB10 structure. What if the CDB I want to send is a different size (e.g. 6 Bytes or 16 Bytes)?

- What is the difference between the Cmd byte and the Op byte? Isn't the SCSI command the same as the opcode sent in the CDB?

- Can I send a Cmd byte that is not part of the standard Scsi commands?

Suppose Samsung is tablet been connected then how port identifies the particular tablet using CC  configuration without using RID resistors?

I'm trying to configure the HX3C by making use of ACA docking feature but not able to understand how the HX3C detects the ACA dock and USB type- C port.

Resistor value is required which is used as RID value at Type-C port, so not able to select resistor value.

Hi Im using a CY7C65634 but have to hot plug it over a non standard connector, the connector does not guareantee the order pins are connected.  Its powered over 24V then I step that down to 5V for the hub.

So:

1.0V

2.D+

3.D-

4 24V

I've been having issues with the port failing when I hot plug it though.  Is there any circuitry I can add to address this?

i would like to develop  hardware which requires pen drive to be detected through USB controller (Host) and data should be read from the pen drive. Reveived data will be interface with other micro controller (PSOC3/PSOC5) either through serial interface (SPI/I2C) or through parallel port. The datasheet for the HX3 series hubs states that it is possible to implement I2C bridging using vendor commands.

I want to use the HX3 as an I2C Master to interface to some instrumentation and control functions on my board.

Is it possible to send arbitrary I2C read/writes from a USB host to an I2C slave using the HX3 family?

If so, could you point me towards some documentation which might inform how to begin going about this?
