USB hosts hubs transceivers Forum Discussions
Hello,
Our application will be permit multiple hosts connection and access some pen drive data. But the pen drive can accept only one host to access it. So, we use external EEPROM to temporarily storge data / paramaters, then release previous host link (for link pen drive permission) after new host plug-in U3 Hub.
We have interested HX3/HX3C and want to know how to process this use case on the HX3/HX3C. Please share your suggestion. Thank you. BTW, application is Video conference.

How is Suspend Mode enabled in USB Billboard Controllers?
Is Suspend Mode the best way to disable Billboard advertising?
I'm sure I'm overlooking a simple method that puts Cypress' USB Billboard Controllers into Suspend Mode.
The datasheet states how the device indicates it's in Suspend Mode with a SUSPEND pin on the devices without the "A" suffix.
The datasheet also provides two options to exit Suspend mode: Via the WAKEUP pin or when there's activity on the bus.
I searched for "Suspend", "Sleep", "Low Power". What am I missing?
Also how to activate or disable it’s Billboard advertising.
Show LessHi,
I use HX3 Blaster Plus to Configure I2c eeprom(GT24P128C), customer i2c address is A0, word address is 16bit, but blaster plus write only one byte word address.
And I test CY4603, it's tow bytes word address. I don't know how to set word address? Could you give me advice, thanks

Hello cypress.
Q1)
CY7C64355 has 2 VDD spec of “VDD” and “VDDUSB(regulator enabled or bypassed)”.
Below is my understanding.
=====================================================
If user uses local voltage of their board as encore supply voltage , they need to meet “VDD” spec.
If user uses VBUS of USB cable as encore supply voltage , they need to meet “VDDUSB” spec.
=====================================================
How does encore detect if current power source is local voltage or VBUS?
Or does encore not detect power source kind?
If encore does not detect power source kind, why did cypress divide VDD spec into “VDD” and “VDDUSB”?
Did “VDDUSB(regulator enabled, 4.35V to 5.25V)” just copy USB VBUS spec?
And “VDDUSB” spec is divided by LDO condition(enabled or disabled).
Should “VDD” spec also be divided by LDO condition?
Min “VDD” is 3.0V.
3.0V is lower than internal LDO output(3.3V).
Why is “VDD” range from 3V to 5.5V?
Q2)
In DS, VDD’s conditions is “No USB activity”.
VDDUSB’s conditions is “USB activity”.
What does the word of “No USB activity” and “USB activity” explain?
Because USB communication should be done even if local voltage is used, I do not understand the meaning “No USB activity” well.
Is it simply the difference in only power source kind?
Is below idea correct?
===================================================
Cypress just described “No USB activity” as a case of using local voltage as encore supply voltage.
Cypress just described “USB activity” as a case of using VBUS as encore supply voltage.
The difference between “No USB activity” and “USB activity” is only the difference of power source kind(local voltage or VUBS).

Hi,
We will use CY7C65632-28Pin in our design and we are planning to drive USB load switch via PWR# pin. In community there is a similar discussion(Re: cy7c65642-28 pin 12cSDA pin) which is related with my question but differently I would like to ask in which cases PWR# will be driven low? It is not clear. For example once a device is connected to one of downstream ports what will be the state of PWR# pin(is it driven low, or high-Z) after enumeration is done(Datasheet says that host may power each port by sending a SetPortPower request)? And the second case if the hub gets a trig from one of OVR# pin, then does it change PWR# pin state?

Show LessHello Team,
We trying to configure the CYUSB3343 Customized Board.
USB is getting detected but shown as a unknown device. Attached error image for refernce
Here we connected USB Type A to Type C 3.1 Cable to PC port for configuration from HX3C Customized Board via POGO Pins (J92 to J114).
Also attached schematics for reference.
Kindly suggest the possible solution to fix the problem.
Best Regards

Show LessHi,
There is no specific information I found about the CY7C65632's unused pins. So that to be able to make a proper design can anyone tell me what is needed to do for CY7C65632's unused pins?
