Hi

I'm designing a USB hub with CY7C65632 in the 28 pin package.

My hub will be self powered.

Each of my downstream ports has a power switch/monitor which will detect an over current on the port and turn off the power to that port.

I can connect the fault outputs to the OVRn# pins of the chip which will inform the hub of the fault condition.

My question is what does the #PWR pin on the device do when one of the ports detects a fault.  I have the GANG pin set to individual mode.

Does the PWR pin  go high when the  a fault is detected on any one of the ports.  If I then use that signal to control the power switch won't that mean it will turn off the power to all the downstream ports?

I understand that if I set the GANG pin to GANG mode only OVR1# is active (the rest are ignored) but what happens in individual mode.

Lastly.  OVRn# pins are listed as having pull ups.  to which supply pin are these pull up resistors connected?

I  am using USB3324 for my USB HUB  system. i want to connect ''GPIO'' pin for both LED and for Pin-strap configuration.

so 

Q1:   when i put a pin (Gpio) to pull down via a resistor for pin strap configuration then after configuration i want to use this pin for LED glow so now this particular pin is become active low or active high ?

Q2 :  when i put a pin (Gpio) to pull up via a resistor for pin strap configuration then after configuration i want to use this pin for LED glow also so now this particular pin is become active low or active high ?

i am trying to implement  a USB HUB system using  ''CYUSB3324''. Is this possible to disable downstream USB port  by disconnecting only  vbus supply or do i need to cut-down data lines also (by separate hardware IC) to disable the port at downstream port ?

There is a phenomenon that the voltage drops to 1V for about 400ms during OS boot. It occurs on both the created board and CY4608.

Attach the waveform.

ch1 (yellow): U4 Pin1 (nENP1)
ch2 (blue): VBUS

My perception is that a reset is issued to the hub when the OS USB driver is initialized, and the HX2VL receives it and controls the Enable signal of the power supply IC. Is it correct? If yes, is this behavior as specified? Is there a time limit for making the Enable signal Inactive?

        I am trying to assemble  a 25port hub with HX3 USB3324. I need a way to control the downstream ports individually(switching on/off) on the go , previously I thought of using the EEPROM map to do this but was told that it is not possible to switch the ports on/off without reconfiguring the EEPROM or resetting.

Is there any way for the "HOST"  to control the downstream ports on the last tier (designed in 5 tier's including the host and devices ) , by any software or Hardware implementation?

        I am trying to design a USB hub with 25 ports , by using 9 hub controllers (CYUSB3324) in 5 tiers (including host and devices) and want to enable and disable  the down stream ports individually on the go without having to reset . Is there a way to directly write the  registers in HX3 or any other way to control the downstream ports individually ?

looking at the CY4609-RDK-BOARD for the CYUSB3304-68LTXC USB3 hub, I'm puzzled to see RXM and RXP crossed over on 3 out of 4 USB connectors.

Also, figure 5-7 in the HX3 Kits User guide shows a similar crossover.

What is the explanation for the crossover, please?

1.We couldn't find the datasheet that contains resuested data as listed below on the internet.

  -Resistance to soldering heat

  -Solderability

  -Soldering Iron Condition

  -Lead Temperature for reflow/dipping/hand solder

2.We would like to adjust our reflow/dipping/hand solder temparature in our process alingned with the parts sprecification.
