I want to ask a question that a separate set of 4.7 uf and 0.1 uf is required for pin 1 and pin 23 of CY7C65215A, or a single set of 0.1 uf and 4.7 uf is sufficient for both pins 1 and 23. The reason for asking is because in its datasheet, a single set is used for both pins 1 and 23. Also in CYBT-413034-EVAL,  a single set of 0.1 uf and 4.7 uf is used. Please clarify.

Hello,

The set of decoupling capacitors are needed for each pin. Please place the decoupling capacitors close to the respective pins.

It is recommended to follow the schematics of CYUSBS236 DVK: https://www.cypress.com/file/123486/download

Thanks,

Yatheesh.

I want to add that full part number of CY7C65215A which  meant in my previous paragraph is CY7C65215A-32LTXI.

Thanks in advance for the reply.

I know that decoupling capacitor should be kept near each pin,i,e, pin1 and pin 23. But pin1 and pin 23 are on opposite sides of the IC, so which capacitors should be near pin 1 and which capacitors should be near pin 23.

Waiting for your reply.

Hello,

If you are referring to the DVK schematic, then 10 uF and 0.01 uF should be placed near to pin 1.

2.2uF and 0.1 uF should be placed near pin 23.

You can refer to the PCBA Assembly document from the hardware files of the CYUSBS236 DVK.

Thanks,

Yatheesh
