Hi,
Where can find host interface guide for this product. also can you please help me to know this chip firmware support USB4 alternate mode?
Show LessHello everyone,
I'm trying to evaluate CYPD3177 but, as in the title, I found an issue on PIN 24. There are two same solved topic on this forum but I can't understand the solution.
I found on my design the voltage of PIN 24 = 0V. VBUS and VDDD works properly. Pin 24 is always equal to zero, without experiment a voltage change when supply is connected (checked with oscilloscope).
The result is the fault pin high (0,64V) with a VBUS = 5V. PFETs are open with FET_EN = 5V.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Show LessWe are using the CYPD3120 on a USB-C display port alt mode sink. When the sink is connected to a display port alt mode version 2.0 source it correctly acks as a receptacle with UFP-D pin assignment C, but when connected to a version 2.1 source it acks as a plug with UFP-D pin assignment = not supported and a DFP-D pin assignment = E. Is there something in the 2.1 messaging that confuses the CYPD3120?
Thanks
Show LessHi Infineon Family!
Having a tough time with my CYPD5225 again.....
I can get my "Port 1" to be a sink... and this works...
and I can get my Port 1 to be a source.... and this works (I just want to drive those little earbuds).
But I can't seem to get a set of PDO's that will allow me to be a sink by default... but still power my little earbuds???
I've tried adding this to app.c
case APP_EVT_CONNECT:
//JBF
if (port == 0)
{
dpm_pd_command(1, DPM_CMD_SEND_PR_SWAP, NULL, NULL);
}

Hello my dears
I have designed a board like the CY4533, I have more or less copied it. Below is my schematic.
I've tested it like it's in the schematic, the only thing I've changed is I've swapped the R15 and R20 resistors on my board. So that the only voltage I could possibly have on the DC_out is 20V.
But when I plug it in, my VBUS and the Fault LED are on. On my DC_out and 5V_out I have 5V instead of the expected 20V. I have measured the voltages on all four voltage dividers and they are within the range given in the datasheet, so no problem there. When I measure the +1V8 line I get 0V and on the +3V3 I get about 3.4V. Could someone please help me, I have searched and compared my schematic with the evaluation board many times but haven't found the fault.
Best regards

Show LessI would like to ask if the CY4532 EVK support PD3.1 28V 5A source and sink?
If not is there any alternative for PD3.1 source and sink dev kit available?
Thank you!
EZ-PD BCR HPI Utility would NOT load with version 1.0 or 1.4 or 1.3.9 of Config Utility.
Note: Only versions 1.3.6 through 1.3.9 and 1.4.0 of Config Utility are available @ https://softwaretools.infineon.com/tools/com.ifx.tb.tool.ezpdconfigurationutility
The following pop-up occurred both before and after loading Configuration Utility 1.4.0 and 1.3.9.
P.S. I also tried rebooting and reloading the BCR HPI Utility Setup Program.
If the installation code is looking for some residual component of Configuration Utility version 1.3.3, please help me find and load that component.

Show LessHello
I'm thinking of creating a simple board that can program PMG1-S3 FW using "Miniprog4”. Just in case, please check if there is no problem with the attached schematic.
Best Regards
Show LessTwo main problems:
(1) In windows 10 (64bit), nothing I do can change the device to use a driver other than "winusb"
(2) Bugs and errors of the analyzer software (because of wrong java version I assume)
I have found many similar problems in this forum, none of them resolve the problem.
- Installing the 1.0.0 version of the software, installing 3.1.0 version of the software, configuration utility
- the self contained "firmware" update utility DID connect to the non-driver device just fine and updated the firmware, but no other software can see the device when it is using "winusb" driver
- I try every possible directory that contains drivers in windows "driver update" functionality, but it never chooses one of the companies drivers, always remains "winusb" and says it is the best driver
The instructions are missing key important information such as EXACTLY what java version is required, what to do if windows always has the device as "winusb" and will never change to specific drivers available by all the downloads.
I tried at least 3 different java installations from around 2020, but still many complaints and errors from the software about cant load its "companion libraries" (kind of launches if i manually run the other executable in the directory, then other errors)
Show LessI instrumented the PDO code (see below) to display the SRC advertisements via the debug uart and monitored the bus with an analyzer. The fixed PDO's decode properly, but the variable/pps PDO's make no sense. The analyzer shows the external Source advertizing pps:3.30-21.00v. The eval_src_cap(...) shows this as 13200 1300 3560. Is this a library issue?
