Can the CCG2 firmware be adjusted such that it advertises PDOs depending on certain features?
My device is a USB-C dongle that can also be attached to an external supply.
I want the CCG2 to detect if the external supply is present and then advertise that power available (how much could also be detected).
If no external supply is available I want the dongle to draw power from the connected system, meaning it should advertise itself as consumer only.
Show LessIs there a way to configure CCG2 such that it requires 20V/5A but also accepts e.g. 20V/3A or 20V/1.2A if only so much is available from the source?
Is there any documentation of all the software features that can be tweaked using the EZ-PD utility?
Show LessWe are plan to make a product use PD & QC4 power charger/adapter as power source.
This mean we need support PD+QC4 sink power.
Could CCG3PA suitable to support this product SPEC.?
Is any firmware or certification need to care?
If QC4 not go through Qualcomm certification, have any concern?
Thanks,
Mitchell
Show LessHello,
Please help me. I want to write firmware for my own project. In my project I use controller CYPD3120. I tried boot my own firmware with help PSoC Creator by MiniProg3.
You can view my schematic in attach. This will use for control stepper motors.
Thank you!

Please provide me the CCG2 - CTD source code.
Show LessCould someone point me in the direction/documentation/example projects of implementing a custom alt mode, particularly in how the DFP initiates entering the mode, preferably automatically after the PD contract finishes negotiating. Taking a look at the "cy_alt_mode" gave me some clues as to the implementation requirements, but beyond defining the SVID, adding it to the al_modes_config.h along with callbacks, and editing the config.c (via the EZ-PD Config Utility)... what more needs implementing?
The UFP is based of the Power Bank project and the DFP is based off the Adapter project, if that matters.
Thanks kindly,
Nathan

1 ) does Power Adapter FW (PA) demo is similar to CCG3PA Power Adapter with Direct Feedback Control example ?
2) CYPD3171-24LQXQ vs CYPD3175-24LQXQ how to compare this chips or it just hw configuration ?
3) could i run CCG3PA Power Adapter with Direct Feedback Control project on CY4532 EZ-PD™ CCG3PA Evaluation Kit?

Show LessHow to enable FRS using Dock SDK??
Hello All,
In our processor board, they used the normal power supply input connector.
We want to replace with USB Type C Power supply input connector.
Our processor has the below things:
1. USB 3.0 Host controller
2. USB 2.0 Host controller
To get the USB Type-C power input, What kind of supports are needed from Processor chip?
We want to confirm that we can use the USB Type-C Power input to this processor?
What are the details/points to check for USB Type-C support in this processor side, i.e.
This processor is compatible for USB Type-C Power supply input.
Please provide your ideas.
After this, need to choose the chip.
-Thanks.
