Hello

Please find attached image.

# 1 Connect the smartphone via HDMI and display the
Smartphone screen on the monitor
# 2 Type-c output / HDMI output of microphone sound from
The development unit

Q1)  Which type-C signal line is best to use and how to operate #1 and #2 above?
Q2) Is it possible to get only audio (analog signal) from type-c (video / audio)? What kind of method is it?
Q3) How can I convert audio (analog signal) to type-c (audio)?
Q4) Is there a way to get only audio (analog signal) from HDMI (video / audio)?

Best Regards

Hello Arai san,

It is OK to implements the signals as your describe. The recommend IC could be CYPD3120, CYPD3123.

Best Regards,

Hello,

1. Please kindly confirm what's signals will be routing for MIC? Is it going to follow USB2.0 device spec for the MIC implementing? Or is it going to follow Audio over Type-C?

2. If you are going to select Audio over Type-C, you will found that the MIC and HDMI cannot use it at same time. Since the Audio over Type-C have specified detect Vrd.

3. For the Audio over Type-C, you could refer Appendix A of  Type-C specification to understand more details.

4. The way to get only audio (analog signal) from HDMI (video / audio), it is not defined in the HDMI over Type-C specification.

Please kindly notice that the Smart Phone is supporting DisplayPort Over Type-C, rarely to support HDMI over Type-C.  So that, you need a DisplayPort to HDMI convertor in the design.

Best Regards,

Lisa

They are thinking that mixing the  MIC sound with the Type-C data from the smartphone and outputting it to the monitor via HDMI. if possible,  is it ok to think that the best signal Type-C connection way below?

- The smartphone (video/audio) use Type-C SS_TX/RX Lane , and does the MIC use the DP/DM data line?
I would like to know the detailed signal configuration when realizing the attached circuit diagram.

Best Regards
