I noticed that when I use CY4521 as a source and configure the corresponding PDOs as {5,9,15,20}V / 3A it is still possible to draw 5A. Shoudn't there be a limiting instance to comply with USB-PD? What does the over current protection U4 etc. do on the EVK?

Hello,

The CCG2 notebook firmware needs to be modified to support OCP detection, please refer to the macro OVP_OCP_SUPPORTED_INC. Currently, the overcurrent limit is fixed to 5.35A by the resistor divider in the voltage comparator chip U4.

Best Regards,
Sananya
