Hi,

I have two questions:

1. Is there any difference between CYUSB4347-BZXCES and CYUSB4347-BZXC?

2. Would you please explain what is the main difference between signed and unsigned firmware for CYUSB4347/ CYUSB4357?

Thanks,

Nilufar

Hi Nilufar,

1. No, the part characteristics are same and you can refer to the Table 7 in the datasheet for the ordering code definition.

2. In unsigned firmware update, the DMC verifies the SHA-256 for each image present in the composite firmware sent by the firmware update tool. In signed firmware update, the DMC first verifies the signature of the composite firmware by decryption and if that is valid, the SHA-256 for each image present in the composite firmware. Please refer to the KBA for more details.

Best Regards,
Sananya
