CYPD4226 Getting started

Hi,

We are doing a new design with the CYPD4226 device as a PD controller for USB TypeC port and it is not clear to me if this device has to be programmed for first time use or it is come pre programmed from the factory.

Also, at our design this device is connected to embedded controller through I2C_SCL_EC/I2C_SDA_EC pins, what is the CYPD4226 I2C slave address ?

Hi Tom,

CYPD4226 ships with I2C bootloader and application firmware preprogrammed.

Regarding EC interface, you will need to refer to the Host Processor Interface specification that will have been shared over NDA.

Please contact your local FAE/Distributor for getting into an NDA.
