Hi,

There are no limitations in using the CCG3PA Evaluation Kit with the 50.4W adapter provided.

Regarding the issue you are facing, it might be due to Over Current Protection(OCP) being triggered when the Load resistance is lowered below 11.5 Ohms.

Can you please test the same with OCP disabled in the firmware, so that we can narrow down the issue?

Also can you confirm that the PD power negotiated is 12V and 900mA?
