Dear,

I use the dock example code of CYPD4236 to modify.

Before doing PR_Swap, I use the following method to change the required Source_PDO:

PDO_List.png

In this way, I can switch to the PDO I need.

But I encountered a problem:
When I set it to 20V 4.5A, it is still 20V 3.25A as observed from the CC Analyzer.

I want to ask:
What changes do I need to make to charge 20V 4.5A after PR_Swap?

Best Regards

Hi Abhilash P,

After I modified the DEFAULT_CBL_CAP, this problem was solved.

Thank you for your assistance.

Manu

Hi,

As per the current in analyzer utility, we can see that it is increasing above 3A but not reaching 4.5A. Please let me know if you have used an EMCA cable in your application.

And can you please let me know the conditions before the PR_SWAP incident?

Can the sink handle 4.5A?

If it is possible can you please share the CC logs?

Hi Abhilash P,

1. My sink can handle 20V 4.5A. (refer to the accessory Adaptor 90W charge.ccgx3)

2. In my Code, first change the Source to 20V 4.5A, then after PR_Swap, it is still 20V 3.25A CC Log. In this case, I used EMCA cable.(refer to attachment 4236_PR_Swap.ccgx3)

3. In addition, If I don't use EMCA cable, can I reach 20V 4.5A Power source? How to modify the code?

Manu

Hi Abhilash P,

Is there a current upper limit for changing SRC_PDO using dpm_update_src_cap()?

How can I achieve SRC_PDO 20V/4.5A?

Manu
