Which version of CYW20719 is on CYBT-483039-02 and other development kits?
- Cypress notes CYBT-483039 is not supported in WICED 6.4. It is still supported in WICED 6.2 and will be supported in the next version of WICED per BugS Report: WICED6.4.0/Missing files @ https://community.cypress.com/thread/47305
- Cypress also notes an initial version of the underlying chip, CYW20719-B1, is supported in WICED and the subsequent version, CYW20719-B2, will be supported in ModusToolbox. Change List CYW20719-B1 and CYW20719-B2 @ https://community.cypress.com/community/wiced-studio-blueooth/wiced-studio-bluetooth-forums/blog/201... . The differences between B1 and B2 are defined in here. Please update the datasheets to also note the difference.
There appears to be at least three versions of CYW20719 and other than the post linked above, it’s difficult to differentiate these parts…
- CYW20719B0 – referenced within code in AN227069 Getting Started with Bluetooth Mesh @ https://www.cypress.com/file/473921/download
- CYW20719B1 – per data sheet CYW20719 Enhanced Low Power, BR/EDR/BLE Bluetooth 5.0 SOC @ https://www.cypress.com/documentation/datasheets/cyw20719-enhanced-low-power-bredrble-bluetooth-50-s...
- CYW20719B2 – per data sheet CYW20719 Enhanced Low Power, BR/EDR/BLE Bluetooth 5.0 SOC @ https://www.cypress.com/documentation/datasheets/cyw20719-enhanced-low-power-bredrble-bluetooth-50-s...
P.S. A single table showing which kits each version of CYW20719 is used in and what tools the part or related kit supports would be a nice response. Will all version support BLE-Mesh?

Hi Greg ,
Q) Which version of CYW20719 is on CYBT-483039-02 and other development kits?
A) CYBT-483039-02 uses CYW20719 B1 as main chip and will be supported in WICED Studio SDK . Please refer Table 34 of module datasheet : https://www.cypress.com/documentation/datasheets/cybt-483039-02-ez-bt-xr-wiced-module
Thanks,
Anjana

From a HW perspective, B1 and B2 versions of the chip are identical (drop-in replacements for one another).
The EVK referenced, along with the other 20719 based kits in production, are all based on B1 silicon (Development Tool: WICED Studio Bluetooth).
As of BT SDK 2.x, we began supporting 20719B2 silicon, but prior versions of WICED Studio supported 20719B1.
All revs of the 20719 support Sig Compliant Mesh.
The Appnote referenced was based on very early silicon, hence the reference to B0. I will ask if it makes sense to remove that reference.
