CAPSENSE™ & MagSense Forum Discussions
Hi all,
To do the EMI test, the sense clock source was changed from AUTO to PRS8.
However, it keeps failing.
So I changed the' sense clock frequency' and passed.
However, when I checked the 'CSD Setting', the PRS8 setting part
'The selected sense source is not recommended to use with the PWR sense clock frequency and scan resolution.' is displayed.
So, if PRS8 is changed to AUTO, EMI fails again, and if PRS8 is set, it passes.
In summary, the warning light appears on the PRS8, but the EMI passes.
We ask if there is any problem using capsense with the warning light on.

alex

Very Simple Question!
The number of average filter samples is 4, how to fix it to 5?
Thanks.
I'd like to see any knowledge base articles, app notes, example projects about using #CapSense to accomplish a touch pad kind of function with a probe instead of a finger. Is there a CapSense 101 type video that walks through any of these use cases?
Along the same lines, has anyone done or have knowledge of using a CapSense slider in a curved configuration? For example, print the slider on flexible circuit material and affixing it onto a curved surface.
If all that is not enough, how about using CapSense to measure angular motion (rotation)?
Thanks Everyone

Hi,Community,
I'm looking for a software processing method to get more accurate capsense values, excluding noise and parasitic capacitance.
I guess it can be realized by active shielding or passive shielding method with reference to 3.4.6 CAPSENSE CSDRM shierlding in AN85951 in terms of hardware.
If the active shielding or passive shielding method is to be implemented in software, could you please let me know if there is any sample code available?
The feature I would like to use is the CSD-RM mode of the capsense buttons.
And the PSoC4 MCU I am using, capsense is supported by the 5th generation.

Show LessCY8CMBR3116-LQXI is used in our touch keypad and is communicating over I2C in poll mode, but as per new requirement we are trying to enable interrupt pin for CY8CMBR3116-LQXI based keypad on touch event but are currently facing issue as interrupt in not generated. We are using Host Interrupt/ Buzz(Pin 23). Can we get procedure to configure CY8CMBR3116-LQXI in interrupt on touch event.

Hello everyone
I'm new to dealing with psoc, and I'm trying to get the CY8CKIT-022 Sensig fluid level protector working.
I tried using Tera Term for this operation (according to the user guide), and I used both the hex files and burned them directly using the psoc programmer, and the psoc creator files, all from here: https://www.infineon .com/cms/en /product/evaluation-boards/cy8ckit-022/
I have a few questions:
1. The 12-RX sensor was working fine, and I was able to see an update of data while filling the tank with liquid. This is, for example, from the term tare while filling the container:
container:
But when I did this with the 2-RX sensor, I didn't see any update in the tera term, and it stayed at the same output when I filled the container, even when I filled it to the top. Anyone have an idea why?
2. I tried using the term commsnds of tera but I'm not sure what their output should be. If someone can explain this in detail I would appreciate it:
This is the output of the csv command
Can someone explain what each column (detailed at the beginning) means?
And when I use enter command, this is what the output should be:
and this is the actual output (for example):
What does each number in this set mean?
If anyone has any advice for good operation of the 2RX sensor, or even a document in addition to the usr manual of infineon, I would greatly appreciate it.
In addition, if anyone has an idea how to produce the output with an analog signal and not through a tera term, that would help me a lot
Many thanks in advance
Show Less- Using linear slider
- CSD-mode in use
- Detects finger position well but raw count values(vertical bars in widget view) are mirrored.
When finger is not present -> raw count are high values(bars are up).
when finger is present on slider -> raw counts values decreased and got to zero.
So it's kind of working. Finger position in slider work correctly. Raw count are inverted. Is there possible to invert raw count values? Any kind of help is appreciated

Hi, community
According to the explanation in 5.3.2.3.1 of the capsense design guide, capsense seems to change the sensor raw count values due to environmental changes such as temperature and humidity .
【Questions】
1. Is there any advantage to this in the 3rd and 4th vs. 5th generation capsense?
2. Also, is there any indicator such as characteristic data (e.g. raw data /temp[°C]) for capsense raw counts with respect to temperature?

Show LessI designed a board with a CY8CMBR3002 version with only one button used in GPO mode ( no I2C)
We made 2 batches that worked perfectly.
On the third one , capacitive key does not work.
Nothing in design has been changed since first PCB.
We exchanged the suspected 3002 with an old version and defective board works again.
The issue was reported on the initialy working board.
Same with whole boards where we could exchage this component.
So I think something has changed in this component.
Here are the markings :
* Works : CY8CMBR3002-SX 0197468
*Fails : CY8CMBR3002-SX 035715
We are stucked for deliveries with no solution.
Any idea ?
