Hi,

we have a problem with the CY8CMBR3108-LQXIT. We use this chip on our cap sense products.

The failed products were programmed and shipped to the customers. After a while, we found that the keypad didn't function correctly. The failed keypad performed the same as the non-programmed keypad. So we reprogrammed the failed keypad, and then it worked well. So we guess there should be something that caused the CY8CMBR3108-LQXIT  a factory reset.

Please help.

CY8CMBR3xxx do not have factory reset mode, so the keypad doesn't work not means it come back to factory status. So you test the keypad before ship the sample to customer? I mean after config the 3108, lose power then power on and test the function.

Yes, the keypad worked for a while or maybe couple days. Then we found some of the buttons have no response. When I used the EZclick to do the System Diagnostics, it said " Short to GND".  After reconfiguration of the 3108 by EZclick, all buttons work fine.
