**************************************************************************************************************************************

Important: There are specific regulatory requirements imposed by regulatory authorities around the world on radio devices. Customers using Broadcom SIP modules are advised to engage with an accredited test lab to determine the overall system level regulatory requirements. Customers may be able to leverage Broadcom's regulatory test reports. Please discuss the process with your test lab, such as FCC ID transfers. Broadcom can provide authorizations as needed per the process outlined in this document.

For FCC certification, if the change is class 1 (by the result of spurious emission test), no filing is required.

Is my understanding correct?

If yes, how should I display the FCC ID?

About CE, will Broadcom provide the test report of the module?

I don't see China and Korea being listed under Countries. Could you please clarify the status of the certification for these two countries?

We are not certified in China and Korea today, but we are looking to add certifications in the near future.

May I get a time line for BCM20737S to get approved by Japan MIC?

We can see ones about BCM20732S but can't see about BCM20737S.

The current BCM20732S Japan MIC will be used for the BCM20737S as well. There is a modification to the filing that is being worked on which is needed to extend support to the new WICED Sense offering, but that should be completed in the next week or so.

Regarding Letters of Authorization (LOA) and the instructions included within this document, we typically try to turn these requests around in 1 week's time.  This may vary based on regulatory team workload, but 1 week is our target.  Thanks for your patience.

Update: We are in the process of adding Japan Telec Certification to both the BCM20736S and BCM20737S modules as Japan’s regulatory bodies would not accept implied regulatory approval (based on BCM20732S Telec) via our letter of similarity.

Update: 7/13/2018

The procedure for the issuing of LOA for the CYW20732/6/7 has changed.

Essentially, we have recertified the 20732/6/7S modules to have a Cypress FCC ID assigned and we now provide the LOA signed by Manager of the regulatory team,

Please complete the following template (Cypress Authorization Letter Template (LOA)) and create a new discussion which includes the filled out template here in the WICED Smart Bluetooth Forums
