PSoC™ Creator & Designer Forum Discussions
Hi,
I've had some Top-level designs and components yield some Application Build errors.
If possible, it would be desirable to change the NetList error checking algorithm. I receive the error:
ADD: sdb.M0018: error: Multiple drivers on signal "Net_xxxxx", bit(s) "y".
Here is the condition where the error occurs:
There are occasions when I disable a component with one or more outputs. This occurs at the TopDesign level or in the .cysch file of a component. When I wire around the disabled component or place other non-disabled component outputs on the same signal, I get the above error message in the Application Build phase.
I either have to add a Virtual mux or delete the disabled component to prevent the error.
Suggestion: It would be desirable for the NetList error checker to determine that the disabled component has no valid outputs and that the error message should not be thrown because of this component.
Show LessWhen building a large project localy in PSoC Creator, build avoidance seems not to be working. There are no code change but still many files get recompiled. Even when I only want to program several uCs it recompiles.
It even states that code generation step is up to date.
--------------- Build Started: 01/28/2021 17:03:16 Project: XYZ, Configuration: ARM GCC 5.4-2016-q2-update
The code generation step is up to date.
arm-none-eabi-gcc.exe -mcpu=cortex-m0 -mthumb -I. -IGenerated_Source\PSoC4 -Wa,-alh=.\CortexM0\ARM_GCC_541\Debug/scheduler.lst -g -D DEBUG -Wall -ffunction-sections -ffat-lto-objects -finline-functions -Og -DuC_PSOC4=1 -DuC_PSOC5=2 -DUSE_uC=uC_PSOC4 -c scheduler.c -o .\CortexM0\ARM_GCC_541\Debug\scheduler.o
All time stamps of all files are up to date (or not changed). Is it possible to get the reason why Creator wants to recompile?
Show LessHello,
We have designed a capacitive sensing trackpad using the CYBLE-214015-01 module. We followed the Cypress recommendations when creating our 7 by 7 trackpad. Now for a project, we are using the PSOC Creator Sense Tuner in order to acquire the x and y positions of a finger touch on our trackpad. From the Widget View on the Sense Tuner I am able to see the 7 rows and 7 columns working perfectly and going over the finger threshold. The problem we are having is that when we log the x and y positions and then extract it and analyze it we seem to be missing data points. Is there any recommendations as to how to fix this? Below I show what our raw data looks like. In reality the data points should be spread across the entire area as I went back and forth the entire trackpad surface for an entire minute. We do not understand why there is some areas that are completely blank. For the parameters, we are using a 8 bit resolution and a 3x3 centroid. I have attached the code that I am using in order to use the tuner.

Hello I have the kit cy8ckit-050 Psoc 5lp. I recently replaced a computer and I am unable to connect the kit to the new computer. I would love to help, I'm on the verge of despair. Thank you.
Show LessThis simple project will not compile due to generated source error.
Regards, Dana.
I am hoping there is an answer to this (positive, not negative). I have a system using PSoC6 where we have FSUSB. I am looking at DFU for firmware updates, but the system does not appear to allow it. I am using one of the Cypress example projects CE213903.
Is this because FSUSB is not SCB-based? Is there any work around, or do I forget DFU? Seems a shame to have FSUSB and not to be able to use it.
Show LessHello:
I'm trying to flash a ARS6501 device (PSoC CY8c4147azi-s445 inside) using CMSIS-DAP and PSoC Programmer 3.29.0
The SWD adapter is detected by the programmer, however, the device is never acquired. I tried multiple times, with different CMSIS-DAP versions (v1, v1.1 and v2.0) but none worked! I always get "FAILED! PSoC device is not acquired! Check connection of the chip to the programmer..." error.
I checked all connections many times, and also probing the signals with the scope and I can see RST, SWCLK and SWDIO toggling trying to get response from device, but no luck so far... Only thing I notice is RST pulse is only 50ns, which seems to be small compared to what the PSoC Programming Specification states; however, I don't see how to actually change this as it's supposed to be handle by the programmer software.
Also tried two devices with same behavior so I don't think it's the device.
So my question is; it's really possible to acquire the device using CMSIS-DAP?
Thanks in advance;
Gus
Show LessHello,
I use the CY8CMBR3108.
I want to program 4 touch sensors on one output. Or function. How can and must I do this?
Hello,
when i am building project in Psoc Creator 4.4, i am getting an error as given below..
# An internal error occurred in the fitter: (System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary.).
Need help for same..!
Thank you.
