PSoC™ Creator & Designer Forum Discussions
I have new PSoC3 designs that Programmer v3.29.0 in SWD will not program the first time (ie. on a new build PCB). Creator v4.3 has no problem. Creator has the ‘Acquire’ switch which is necessary to program the part in this case. There is no 'manual' Acquire checkbox on Programmer (see warning below). Once the part is programmed the first time, I can then re-program the boards with software updates or new builds later using Programmer.
I sometimes get this warning in Programmer, but changing to ‘Reset’ makes no difference for the Acquire.
WARNING! Power off external power of the device to acquire it in "Power Cycle" mode or select "Reset" mode!
The PSoC3 is CY8C3866PVI-021 running 5v, SSOP-48 package. MiniProg3 v2.05. Here’ s setup. What am I missing?

Hi all,
few days ago I successfully downloaded and installed PSoC Creator 4.4. Yesterday, after some days of use, when I opened PSoC Creator the following error appeared:
So, I attempted to uninstall PSoC Creator but I couldn't proceed with the installation as the following error was thrown:
And I couldn't complete the uninstallation process. So, at the moment PSoC Creator 4.4 does not appear among the installed programs in the Control Panel, but in Cypress Update Manager I can still see it:
but when I click on "Uninstall", a network error appears and the process is not started.
Did anyone of you already experience such error? Do you have any idea on how to solve it?
I have PSoC Creator 4.3 up an running, but I would like to solve such problems with Creator 4.4. I'm using Windows 10 in a virtual machine on MacOS using Parallels.
Thanks and best,
Davide

Hi Community,
I was trying to build this example project "CE220960-Bootloader_BLE_Upgradable_Stack" after selecting the device "CYBLE-416045-02" from the "device selector" option.
I haven't modified the project at all. But still getting the following error.
So Kindly support.

When installing Creator on a 64 bit machine one must install the 32 bit version of
Microsoft Redistributal Package in order to get the install to recognize its present.
Installing the 64 bit version will not satisfy the Creator check on an installed 64 bit
version of the Redistributal Package.

Installation hangs here. I found a related issue and went through recommended steps for uninstall and registry cleaning. I have completely uninstalled all versions of PSoC Creator (Using PSoCCreatorInstaller.exe) and uninstalled Programmer and done a registry scan and clean using Glary Utilities. I get the same results each time I try to install. I even let the install run overnight with no progress.
This is what is running during the install hang:

Hi,
I want to be able to use strings in my 'C' source files that contain ASCII codes from 128 to 255 such as ë, ñ, õ
For example
char a = 'ë';
However, PSoC creator flags this as illegal encoding of character.
Is there any way to do this?
Thanks!
Show LessHi
Is there a way to modify an existing component cy_lfclk?
I can import it on the components tab, I can change the code. But I can't figure out how to connect it to the project?
How to replace a component in a project with a modified one?
Hi guys,
I'm making a matrix-based wireless MIDI keyboard for a uni project and the final hurdle seems to be an error PSoC Creator 4.4 gives when I try to build my project. It's already stated in the title, but here it is again:
Bad value for formal 'sync_mode'. Must be a constant
The line this refers to, however, is in the official PSoC UART peripheral block, which for obvious reasons I shouldn't be asked to edit.
Attached are a screenshot of my TopDesign, my main.c and the line that causes the error. Does anyone know what causes this?
Thanks in advance!

hi all,
I am using CYBLE 012011-001 module, where i configured ADC as given in code example of battery_level_01. But, in results, getting constantly a fixed value. I think ADC is not working. I have configured ADC as, Vref is internal VREF, fixed resolution, clk freq is 1000khz & enable ADC interrupt in which i have took converted result. Constant value(883 something) has been appearing at maximum input of battery.
Please suggest me if anything is going wrong or what should i do next to ADC to be work?

One page for TopDesign.cysch ist too small for my project. The properties of the file (right mouse click)gives me page count of 1. I can not change this value by typing a "2" nor + or anything else. Is it possible to have a bigger page or two pages for the schematic ?
