Hi!

I am new to PSoC and already discovered an error: DMA Datasheet and Wizard pass the wrong DMA_INVALID_TD instead of the correct DMA_DISABLE_TD config option to CyDmaTdSetConfiguration(). Therefore, the DMA channel is not disabled properly but continues to run.

I'm start learn PSOC, I bought PSOC4 Pioneer Kit (now in delivery), installed PSOC Creater and watched tutorials and other videos about PSOC Creater.

I start my first project: "Button and LEDs" ... and now have problems. I'm draw this scheme, connecting pins but still have errors.

Would be nice if Pin labels showed user names AND tool generated names,

like you do for the LCD pins, the only pins you apparently do this for.

Anyone here have prior experience in development of a signal conditioner in Psoc Creator ? Actually, the main components which I have to implement are a filter and a instrumentation amplifier. I would be very pleased, if anyone could point me in the right direction. I'm a really a beginner in Psoc Creator enviroment.

I recently had a look at the following API call of a PSoC4 Pulse Width Modulation component.

void PWM_Start(void) {   if (0u == PWM_initVar) {     PWM_Init();     PWM_initVar = 1u;   }

  PWM_Enable(); }

The routine documentation clearly states that the PWM will be initialized upon first call to PWM_Start(), which is fine. What I don't like about this implementation is that the PWM_Start() routine sets PWM_initVar. In my opinion, this should be done within PWM_Init() because then I can initialize the PWM without immediately starting it, allowing me to defer the actual start to the point where I need it.

Could you please fix this in the next version of PSoC Creator?

Hi.

I often use the projects of other authors. These projects have a lot of options.

for example  in  Project-> Build Settings...

To use them I change the file extension : progect.cywrk.autor_PCname ---> progect.cywrk.my_PC_name

Is there another more correct method?

The WaveDAC8 component is a simple component to generate waveforms using the PSoC3/5 DACs and DMA.  It has a nice GUI so the waveform can be generated visually. This component is a good demonstration how the DMA can really offload work from the CPU.  For more information see application note AN69133.
