PSoC™ Creator & Designer Forum Discussions
Hello,
As a sanity check we would like to switch from 9.03 to 8.16a and try to mimic the exact production environment that we inherited code from. We downloaded 8.16a and went to Tools-->Options-->Project Management-->Generic Toolchains and set the binary path to the DP8051 of version 8.16a but the options to switch to it in Build Settings/Build Configuration does not show up. Any thoughts what we may be doing wrong? The only option is still for the newer 9.03 compiler.
Thanks,
Wess
Show LessHi All.
I am probably going to ask the stupidist question here ever.
What is the meaning of the icons next to the component in the component libary. See attached pic.

Show LessHello All.
I have opened the example bootloader project for a Psoc5LP devices and build it with no errors. Yet when I create my own project with the same device and the same components in I get compile errors. The main.c file that is generated is diffrent between my project and that of the example project. Why is that? Any help will be appreciated.
Attached is the 2 projects in one file.
Kind regards
Matt
Show LessHi all. I'm trying to use a sin() function. I've #included both math.h and stdlib.h, but my code won't build:
"main.c:37: undefined reference to `sin' "
I say won't build, because if I issue a complie command on the main.c code alone, it works just fine. What gives?
P.S. Yes, I know the argument and resultant are both doubles, that's not the problem.
Show LessHello,
how to build a bootable project for a PSOC4 device that, if downloaded via bootloader, didn't allow further bootloading. I've finished the final version of my project and now I want to close up the chip, when I deliver my work. At the moment I don't have a programmer and now other prototyping kit, so I have to use the bootloader to download the software. What's the best practice in this case to build the project?
regards
R.N.
Show LessHello,
I understand that we can generically control the build order using the Build Settings/Build Order options in PSoC Creator. I am wondering if there is a way to control the settings for the Linker (arguments) files/options? That is not just the linker options (flags) themselves but also the order of the object files that are fed into the Linker.
We have a project such that main.obj is showing up in the middle of the linker command and we need main.obj to be the first argument of the linker. Using the build settings do not appear to change the order of main.obj. We believe that this is throwing "REFERENCE MADE TO UNRESOLVED EXTERNAL" errors. We checked our header files and our use of extern so the dependacies appear to be all in order and free of circular includes etc...
We are using PSoC Creator 2.1 SP4 with Keil DP8051 9.03. Any help would be highly appreciated. The odd thing is that the project compiles OK in PSoC Creator 2.2 without any changes to the build settings.
Thank you,
Wess

Show LessHey all - I'm trying to replicate the Blinking LED Example from the Maker Faire, but I'm not finding the gates under the Component Catalog (Digital)(Logic) - any help in how to load the Catalog to get the Not Gate?
