PSoC™ Creator & Designer Forum Discussions
Hi
I have a project based on PSoC Creator 3.3 and I want to export it to KEIL MDKv5
But as soon as "Next" button is clicked in IDE Export Wizard an error window pops up with message :
"Unhandled exception has occured in a component in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.
Value can not be numm.
Parameter name: path 1"
So after clicking the "Continue" nothing happens and just the error window closes.
I can not see any export of project.
Is this a known problem ?
Can someone please provide some inputs ?
Show LessHi,
I've created my own component which internally uses an SPI master component (v2_50).
I've added an API and can access the functions of the SPI ok for example `$INSTANCE_NAME`_SPI_ClearRxBuffer() works fine.
But using a definition of the component creates an error message - example: `$INSTANCE_NAME`_SPI_STS_TX_FIFO_NOT_FULL would result in an error message: undeclared (first use in function).
If i comment out the line of code and compile the project, i can access the definition in main - auto completion shows it to exist.
In my component API i have included cytypes.h and cyfitter.h.
I've tried including <project.h> but this also causes a compile error.
Any help would be appreciated.
kind regards,
Damian
Show LessThis is very strange as it's such a common basic thing, I don't know what could cause this.
This compiles:
sprintf(outputstring, "data = 5");
This does not:
sprintf(outputstring, "data = %i", 5);
Creator reports an error "Build error: The command 'arm-none-eabi-gcc.exe' failed with exit code '1'."
outputstring is global. Without the %i parameter it not only compiles but it also works just fine. Other types, such as %s, trigger the same error. If I include the %i without supplying an integer I get the correct error that a parameter is missing.
In a fresh project sprintf with parameters works fine just as one would expect.
The only project where I have this problem so far is the 100 Projects in 100 Days, Day009_DynamicBroadcaster.
(I've been trying to debug DynamicBroadcaster because while it broadcasts the data in the advertisement never changes. That's a different issue though)
Any ideas?
Show LessHi,
Is there a way to configure PSoC Creator to build both the release and debug versions when building the project? I have performed a search of the forum and nothing turned up.

Show LessHi,
can anyone verify the following behavior on PC 3.3 (current release) for file specific optimization settings, please:
- change the project compile optimization setting for 'link time optimization' => should be 'false' by default, so change to 'true'
- close and re-open PSoC Creator and check if the setting is still 'true'
- for single files, the setting should follow the project setting
- now repeat #1 and #2 for a single file (e.g. main.c), and change the setting to the opposite state => if the project setting is 'true', set the single file optimization to 'false'
- close and re-open PSoC Creator and check if the setting is still opposite from the project setting
In my case, the result of #5 is the same as the project setting. This worked in the past, therefore I'd consider this as an bug.
I've another PSoC Creator installation where I have to check this behavior, but I'd be glad if someone can verify this.

Ralf
Show LessHi all,
I wish to be able to modify a single bit within a bus from the Fabric using a PSoC4.
I found this post which (partly) answered my question : http://www.cypress.com/comment/142141#comment-142141
The problem is: the design won't generate with the attached schematic. You can notice I purposefully disconnected the wire [0], which goes through the OR gate.
The error code is: "Multiple drivers on signal "Net_43", bit(s) "0"."
Any idea on how to solve this?
Thanks!
Romain
Show LessDear sir/madam,
We have a question about the schematic design of PSoC creator. the Version which we used is PSoC Creator 3.2. Question is:
Is it possible to connect a input bus with multi specify named sheet connector? Please note that the sheet connector name should not be changed.
We have tried many times but always report error as attached.
Thanks,
William
Show LessHi~
I am trying to develop the PLC system(CY8CPLC20) with two AD converter but there are not enough blank area (shown as white color) in PSoC Designer. How can I add more sets of AD converter ? (add white blank area)
Show LessWe are doing new development using Cypress controllers. the controller is CY 8C4124Ax1-443, 44 pin TQFP ic. We made a digital thermostat using this controller. 13 nnos of capsense keys with backlit is provided. when back lit LED & 4nos of 7 segment LEDs are switched together we face flickering in dispaly & backlit leds. The uart operation is also not ok. Some time the controller hangs.
Please resolve these problems. we are have few days left for completing the job.

Sasidharan
