Hi, may i know where can i get the ISSP CY3207 programmer driver ? It is because its shown unknown device at device manager when i plug in CY3207 programmer into other PC.

I'd like to set a #define in my code (or most likely -D to the compiler) based on an environment variable. It will be used by our continuous integration system to set version that should be compiled into the product.

Is there any way to do this? I'm using PSoC Creator 4.0 together with a PSoC 4 (4200 series).

Hi,

I just wanted to get in touch with the customizers, so I decided to make a new library and imported the demux component. After renaming the component and its files and also took care of the catalog placement, I build the project. Those steps seem to be the standard method when importing components, according to some (outdated) documents.

And voila... many error messages regarding not existing namespaces in actual context, etc. After digging a bit deeper into it, I figured out that the customizer assembly references have to be configured (this isn't mentioned anywhere!!!). So, I copied the references from the CyPrimitivesLibrary workspace, and most of the error messages went away. However, I don't want to search how to get rid of those errors. Instead, I want a clean documentation of customizers and how to create them. Cypress, you can't make statements like 'create your own customizers' and then a simple component import fails.

If there's a document describing that the assembly references also have to be configured, then it's my fault because I didn't found it. What about to make a tutorial on how to implement customizers in a clean and working way? Yes, there's a customizer API reference, but this doesn't really help without basic knowledge of how it has to be used.

Is it possible to have both Creator 3 and Creator 4 on the same computer?   I would like to keep the production version of our firmware at the Creator 3.x level and the beta version at Creator 4.   We just released a new product and in case there is a problem, I need to work with the 3.x version to correct the problem(s).  However, I would like to move the beta version to Creator 4 and test.

Hello All,   I have recently updated to Creator 4,  it was working very well but has stopped remembering when I change settings and what files I have used.  The recent files list is always empty.  I have done the repair install but its still the same.

Has anyone else run ito this or have any ideas where the app stores the setup and recent files info ?

Hi, it's me again xD

Lately i have been trying to get into how to build custom components, and i was trying to modify 'default' components. One thing i haven't been able to do is change the component customizer, i was trying to follow the next video:

But i'm trying to do it on VS Community Edition 2015, and i can't get the customizer itself on the 'figure' design.

Has anybody been able to import customizers into this version of VS, and sucessfully change the customizer on Creator afterwards?

One step after tis would be create custom component customizers on VS and import them on Creator, but that will be another story 🙂

Evening, everyone -

Been working on a PSoC5LP design lately, and ended up 'upgrading' the PC from Windows 10 to Windows 7 Professional when numerous pieces of important software failed to function, and the UI finally got to me.

I was previously running PSoC Creator 3.3, but have downloaded 4.0 and got it installed successfully.  On opening, the program is extremely unresponsive - it takes roughly twenty seconds to open the current workspace, and moving/clicking anything in the schematic view causes it to become unresponsive for about three to five seconds before continuing.  This applies to everything in the program - the menu bar, sidebars, etc.

The program is installed to a local hard drive array (D:); no non-ascii characters or network jumps in the install path.  Files are saved to the boot drive (C:) in a desktop folder.  Running on a 24-thread Xeon with 64GB of memory, so I can't blame system resources.  No processes or services appear to be interfering with anything.

Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot something like this?  I've reinstalled once with no change.
